The steel is decent quality for the price, it's not the greatest at edge retention but they're fairly easy to sharpen if you have the tools.Nothing fancy just cheap sharp knives that get the job done.

I’ve used expensive knives for years, and a friend of mine who cooks for a living introduced me to this brand. They’re inexpensive and yet the best knives I have ever used. They are so EASY to sharpen and I think that is the key. Only negative (which is not really a negative) is the wood handles mean don’t wash them in a dishwasher and condition them with wood oil to keep them looking good. But that extra effort is totally worth it. I got rid of all my expensive block sets and only use these.

I cook a Lot and needed knives to slice thin meat, fish, chicken; this are perfect! I even bought the larger knives same brand. Sharp!!! The blades are thin and it is what makes them great. I had to sharpen Just One of them after long use and a simple sharpening work revived it to its best.

Good bargain knife for dining or light duty paring. They came with a sticky sticker on the handle and I had to use a solvent to remove the residue, which could have been better.

I've been using these knives for over 5 years. Used a friends and the genuine wood handle and blade sharpness was awesome. i bought several from eBay which came directly from Thailand. This price here is the best value around. i had to buy more. i keep them everywhere like i do my spare reading glasses... at the office, in each car, at home, in the garage, at the vacation home....everywhere.... if they lose their sharpness, I use my Henkel knive sharpener for 3or4 strokes on each side and they're good as new.
