It does what it's supposed to do
Excellent product at a great price ! I bought it to replace the OEM cable wich stopped to work suddenly; so after I went to my Audi dealer and noticed the ridiculous price they ask for the cable (50 dollars !!!), I did a little research and decided to buy this one. It works fine ! it does what it's supposed to do: it synchronizes audio data stored on your Ipod with the media center on my 2011 A4 Audi, and at the same time it charges it. It looks and feels very well crafted. Now lets see how long it lasts working and in one piece...By now, a highly recommended product.

Car did not recognize cable was installed. (2012 Audi Q5)
I used this exact same cable before (2012 Audi Q5), but time and heat got to it in the glovebox after awhile, so I ordered a replacement. Since the old one worked before why fix it? Not the case with the new cable, did not work. Audi’s MMI system would not recognize it, the Bluetooth adaptor powered on, connected to phone, but that was it. Same status after repeated tries. So I took new cable case apart, matched to the old one wire for wire (side note they beefed up the wire gauge size on the new cable, which is a plus). Could be a cold solder joint after looking at the new ones solder job/bad circuit card?? Speculation and I don’t feel like re-soldering or reading out a new cable. I did however re-solder the broken wires on the old cable. Works like a champion. So problem is definitely the new cable. Which after reading the reviews seems to be hit or miss on these cables. Too bad like I stated to start, had no problems with the old identical cable.

Exactly what I needed....
Some not very nice person discovered that the door to my 2010 Audi Q5 was left open and "borrowed" both my iPod Touch and the connecting chord to the entertainment system that were located within the glove box of the car. Accordingly, I had to replace both. Reading the reviews about this item, I wasn't certain it would solve my problem, but I took a chance and ordered it. Once it arrived I plugged it into the connection to the entertainment system in the glove box and into an older iPod that I had laying around. They worked perfectly together and I was back in business. A cheap fix for a frustrating problem. Highly recommend.

Had some problems
The cable did not work with my Audi Concert Head Unit when plugged into the AMI slot. The iPhone and iPod did not go past the initialization stage and hung there. The seller had been kind to offer a refund for the cable, suspected that it might not be fully compatible.

It works for my Audi a4 2011 but it is ...
It works for my Audi a4 2011 but it is already broken on one side ( it gets stuck in the phone)..we will see how much longer it can last

Does what it is supposed to
Have been using this cable for almost a year now and itmworks perfectly and does what it is supposed to do! Connects to the AMI system and works seemlessly. And charges while conected. Can be used only for music and not for phone, have to use bluetooth for that. The down side - cannotmbe used with a case or cover on the phone, so you have to take the case off and then put it back on, quite a pain doind that more than a few times per day.A little better design like the newer USB charging wires available for iphone/ ipod connect with most cases.

Cheap and short lived!
Absolute trash! Broke apart the 3rd day. Used it for the first time on Monday morning, crumbled in my hand Wednesday morning. Mind you, I only handled it twice a day. I hook up my Ipod in the morning going to work and I remove it in the evening when I get home from work.

audi A4 ipod cable
When the ipod connection in my car stopped working I was so upset as I really rely on it. Bringing it to Audi and getting it fixed was going to cost a fortune. I decided to check on amazon to replace the cable myself and once I got the old one out, the new one was easy to connect. My ipod was back in working order. It was that simple. Figuring out which cable to get was the hardest part. This one was exactly what I needed for my 2009 audi A4.
