Let me first say Amazon was GREAT with this order. The order initially was to have arrived in a box with other items; unfortunately, this meter was not included as indicated. When I reached out to Amazon's customer service via chat - I was told immediately that a replacement item would be shipped to me free of charge, which I received just a few days later. Well done, Amazon - thank you!As for the product, I am using it for my indoor garden (which I am trying for the first time to grow), to assist me in controlling my watering. It accurately measures moisture in the soil, helping me gauge when I should or should not water. It is easy to use, simply stick the meter into the soil, and you read the "wetness" of the pot. I appreciate the meter being large (the gauge is exceptionally long) allowing the measurement of deep planters. I assume the quality of this item is good and should last a long time, I do not see how it could be damaged and discontinue reading the soil moisture. This is an excellent choice for a new-time grower or someone just testing the waters (no pun intended) in growing their own plants or food. Perhaps when I get more educated in the matter, I might invest in a more technical reader, but for now, this works great and was not a huge expense.

This might be a lifesaver, I mean, plant saver. I typically try to water my plants as often as the tags say, however, in some planters, it is harder to tell if the bottoms are still moist or not. This works perfectly. It prevents me from over watering my plants and Gives me that external queue to give them a couple of days to have dry roots. Super easy and low tech to use.As far as accuracy goes, I played with it and monitored how many days I’ve watered and what it gauges. Seems really accurate. Would recommend for a beginner plant parent or someone with experience!

The long probe water/moisture meter has truly saved the lives of my plants! Just when I thought I was an experienced plant parent, I discovered that some of my plants needed more water, as indicated by the finger test, while others required less, based on their soil type. This product appeared to work as expected for my indoor plants over the first 10 days after I received it. Then, it promptly stopped working at about day 14. It would not read at all. I simply thought my plants were completely dry and watered them thoroughly. I retested and the soil meter still tested them as "dry" and the needle did not move. This is when I realized it had failed. However, the seller very promptly came through with sending me a new soil meter and the new one is working as expected. I would absolutely do business with them again because they know what customer service is all about!
