Is this compatible with Macbooks?

Yes, I use it with my 13" MacBook and it fits great. I put the kickstand in the very last slot and it's at a great angle.

What is the exact weight of this stand? The description says 1.3 lbs (0.6kg), but many reviews say is it 'lightweight'.

The stand weight is correct. The dimensions are 10 " tall by 7.25" wide with extensions on the side.

Would it work with Tablets?

Yes, a tablet would set just fine on the rubberized ledge. I use it with mine all the time.

What about with a portable 14" or larger monitor? Will it remain stable?
