Great Coffee/Great Vendor
Let me get the only negative out of the way first because it's a small thing for me, but I know it's a big deal for others. The coffee beans didn't seem to have as much oil on them as I've seen in the past. I'm not sure that's a bad thing, but I'm making note of it anyway. Personally, I'd rather not have an oil slick at the top of my coffee cup. Now for the good stuff. I was immediately impressed by the delivery speed for coffee because Mount Kilimanjaro Tanzania Peaberry has been notoriously difficult for me to obtain locally. I figured I'd be waiting for a week or two anyway, but this coffee was on my doorstep in just a few days. So, if you're tired of everyone making excuses as to why they can't get this particular kind of especially tasty coffee, buying online may be your best best. The price, by the way, was also a lot less than I'm used to paying at the my local coffee shop (about $10.00 cheaper). The packaging was quite robust and sealed completely. I had no concerns that the coffee would be stale or that it might be contaminated in some way. Opening the package was sheer heaven. The aroma immediately filled the room. So, I had to make a pot right away and wasn't disappointed in the least. Quite the contrary, despite the lack of oils on the coffee beans, this really was a phenomenal cup of coffee. I was surprised to find that the vendor didn't short change me. I've ordered online before and 5 pounds usually meant 5 pounds, sort of, with a little bit of thumb on the scale by the vendor. I actually weighed the 1 pound bags that I vacuum packed from this 5 pound bag on another scale and found that I received a little more than 5 pounds. So, don't worry about getting cheated by this vendor. Tanzania Peaberry does provide a unique flavor that's not for everyone. It does tend to be a tiny bit bitter, even if you get a medium roast, but that's one of the reasons I like it. This coffee has an intense flavor that some people also find off-putting after drinking flat beaned coffee that is available in stores. The round beans make for a more even roast for someone who actually enjoys something that fills the mouth and nose with flavor. I've heard some people say that Tanzania Peaberry is kind of chocolately; I can agree with that, but only if you're talking about the high cocoa content sort of pricey chocolate that I also tend to enjoy. In other words, this is a quality coffee experience for those who can enjoy it.

We bought this whole bean coffee for our adult son for a stocking stuffer for Christmas. He loves โ............. Yes, we still stuff his stocking! Lol He absolutely loves this coffee. Great medium roast coffee! He French presses and loves grinding his own beans. Great fruity flavor, no bitterness and still very fresh 3 months after purchase. Yes He still has some but not much due to he likes to drink several varieties. This is one of his favorites!

Great coffee, roasted perfectly!
First off- the beans are perfect! Unlike the reviewer who claimed to be a "connoisseur," and said the beans should be oily, these aren't. If you do a web search for yourself, you'll find that they're NOT supposed to he oily. Oiliness usually means the beans were roasted too quickly and/or at too high of a temperature, releasing the oils. Since the oils aren't retained, the coffee isn't as flavorful. Oily beans can also clog up and damage your grinder. These beans weren't dried out, they were fresh, and roasted to perfection. The flavor notes mentioned were spot on. I would definitely buy again!!!

Beans ground beautifully in a burr grinder with little chaff
Product ordered: Tanzania Peaberry, Mount Kilimanjaro, Whole Bean, 5 pound. Coffee was delivered quickly, beans smelled freshly roasted when bag was opened. Beans ground beautifully in a burr grinder with little chaff. Roast is on the dark side of medium, coffee is smooth, free of bitter notes, and is a great cup of coffee black and freshly poured. I think sugar and cream masks some of the really subtle notes of this bean, but it's delicious made that way also. All in all, I'm very happy with the quality of the bean, the consistency of the roast, and the flavor of the brew. I will order this bean again, and will probably give some of Stone Street's other beans a try now too.

Great quality medium roast coffee
I love this coffee, it is super fresh medium roast whole beans. I am drinking know, and I love it. I was able to drink without the milk, because it is so yummy still has the full-bodied flavor of coffee but without the bitterness. What I do like , however everyone is different when come to the coffee. Moreover, if you like your coffee very strong you maybe choose the dark roasted. I am not the coffee expert, however this coffee has a good quality and it is super fresh when you open the bag of coffee the smell is great.

Not the best batch
This is my third order of Peaberry beans. The other bags have been excellent, the beans were dried as they should be and the flavor was beyond great. But this bag arrived and the beans are excessively oily and the flavor is just not there. Not sure if they rushed this batch through the process but it's very disappointing.

Mild flavor, very smooth
It is a pretty nice coffee. I've used if for my both traditional french press and also cold brew. The cold brew was quite nice, but for french press it took me several tries to get a flavor I enjoy. I have to brew it slightly longer than I usually do, so it makes sense that it makes a better cold brew than hot coffee.
