Great quality and it WORKS GREAT! However, the brush bristles are too long and need to be trimmed shorter. You can purchase a shorter brush (which I did), but I found that to be a little too short (although it worked on deeper cuts). You need to EXPERIMENT to see what works best for you!

Keeping exposed ways and lead screws clean is critical for longevity of service. I recently purchased the Lunyee 3018 Pro Max and this shoe fits perfectly. I don't think I'll ever use the long bristle option but the short bristle option is perfect, my end mills sit about .2" below the bristles. I repurposed an old vacuum cleaner which delivers high pressure to the shoe and I have ZERO debris escape from it. I see videos here wherein the bristles are dragging the project piece which is not correct. My 30° V-bits are very short so I fabricated a plate to redirect the airflow so I use no bristles at all. I highly recommend this device, or whatever you can find to fit correctly, to keep debris contained.

My first time using a dust boot on my CNC machine. Fit perfectly on my ProverXL 4030 V2 machine.

I'm addressing a few aspects of this item in this review. 1- The concept is great. Permanent attachment to the motor but the body uses magnets to be removed out of the way. I like this part. 2- Length of brushes. There are people complaining about brushes getting in the way. The design isn't perfect. Since the boot is attached to the motor it moves up and down in the Z direction. As the motor plunges the bit into the work the brushes also move down. If the Z movement is large, the brushes hit the surface of the work and bend. You have to be careful about that and make sure the brushes aren't too long for the depth of cuts. The vendor says right in the listing, "trim the brushes"You might want to buy multiple brushes and have different trims for different jobs. 3- Now this is the main part of this review. This boot design has a MAJOR DESIGN FLAW. By screwing the motor to the part it blocks the air intake ports that are used to cool the motor. THIS IS BAD! Your motor will overheat.You might think that you'll drill a few holes in the boot but that is not a good idea either. The motor is designed to suck air from the bottom, move it up through the motor and exhaust from the top. If you drill holes in the boot, you are connecting the intake holes to the area where your vacuum is attached. In effect, the motor will try to suck air from bottom to the top and your vacuum will try to suck air from top of the motor to the bottom. Not only the air flow will be unpredictable, also you are putting more strain on your motor as its fighting with the vacuum. Easy solution. Create a little spacer like I did in the picture. It lowers the boot about 10 mm but I would not run the motor with the vents blocked. Hope this helps

Install the dust boot today, I am verry pleased with it, Install was easy, had to shorten the brushes, Only thing that would be nice is if the provided access to different lengths of the brushes, Overall verry pleased with it, I made three test cuts and little to no shavings or dust. Up date. Looked and they make a replacement for the lower part with brushes , I ordered it and its perfect, a bout a half inch shorter, Works perfect, Thanks. Now I am really a happy camper.

Very happy with this well designed item. Fits perfectly and the magnet were a design coup as far as I'm concerned. The base screws to motor with two provided screws and allen wrench then the parts are held together with very strong magnets. Allow for quick , tool less removal to change and zero cutting tools.

I thought that with a well- known name, and all the hype that this product would work well. On the third use, the magnets gave out. The bottom assembly dropped into the cutting area and was immediately broken (along with my project), sending pieces of plastic and shattered magnets around the room. I literally only got about one hour of use out of this before it became trash. Very disappointed. Wish I could get a refund, but already discarded the packing materials. UPDATE 30 May 2024: SainSmart reached out to me last week regarding the problem above. I informed them that the magnets used for holding the top and bottom assemblies together were too weak and created a safety issue (I found a chunk of one imbedded in the doorframe 10 feet away from the router). They thanked me for bringing the issue to their attention and apologized for "the inconvenience and potential safety concerns caused by the weak magnets used in the assembly." They informed me that the team is "actively investigating the design issue to identify and implement necessary improvements to prevent similar incidents in the future." Additionally, I was also offered a choice of a refund or a replacement (that was nice, since I had already thrown away the packaging and written the whole thing off as a waste of $30). Since I am currently running my machine without dust collection, I went ahead and accepted the replacement (arrived yesterday). I'll be adding some velcro to the front and back to keep the bottom assembly in place and ensure a much longer life for this one (might also add a thick rubber band around the whole thing). It's a couple extra steps when changing bits, but at least I know it won't be going anywhere. All in all, I think I can make this work, and I'm grateful to SainSmart for reaching out, listening to customer feedback and taking action (especially when it involves a safety issue); that's not something you get from all companies. I've raised my review from one to three stars due to the fact that SainSmart stepped up to be accountable, listened to feedback, and offered to make things right. I'm looking forward to seeing what modifications they come up with for mitigating this issue, but in the meantime the problem can be solved with a little strategically placed velcro (and maybe a rubber band).

07.04.2024 Habe die Absaugung für meine Vevor 3018 CNC Pro max gekauft und bin voll zufrieden. Das montieren mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben geht schnell von der Hand und per Magnet werden das Zwischenstand und der Bürstenaufsatz "angeheftet". Im Video sieht man wie gut das Ganze funktioniert. Für einen kurzen Gravierstichel waren mir die Borsten zu lang, sodass ich sie abgeschnitten hab. Später habe ich dann festgestellt das es hier einen Aufsatz mit kürzeren Borsten gibt. Dadurch dass man die Einzelteile einfach abnehmen kann, reichen ca. 20mm Luft unter dem Fräser um sie wieder zu montieren. So kann man für den genauen Blich beim Einrichten die beiden Teile demontieren, dass man einen fällig freien Blick hat, wenn es dann los geht, eben 20mm hoch fahren, anstecken und ab die Post. Natürlich ist solch eine Vorrichtung auch schnell selbst gedruckt, dann ist sie aber nicht so schön transparent und evtl. auftretende Verstopfungen (noch nicht passiert) erkennt man erst wenn es viel zu spät ist. PS.: da mein Werkstattsauger defekt ist habe ich aktuell nur einen Haushaltssauger mit Zyklonabscheider angeschlossen. Bei noch mehr Saugleistung wird das Ding aber nicht schlechter funktionieren.
