New BalanceMen's 577 V1 Lace-Up Shoe

A you probably already know, New Balance makes many different models of cross trainers and walking shoes, but relatively few of them are available in a 2E or "wide" width. It can also be difficult finding any athletic shoes that are conservative enough to wear with casual business attire. Conservative in the sense of the word that they come relatively unadorned by flashy trim which adds nothing to the comfort or the performance of the shoe. Also worth mentioning here is the little bit of extra padded support under and around the ankle bone. This can make an enormous difference when you are required to do a great deal of walking, such as sight-seeing (think theme parks), or even just everyday shopping (home improvement centers and department stores). Finally, if you do not employ these shoes on a motorized treadmill, which are notorious for wearing out shoes prematurely, you may be pleasantly surprised to discover just exactly how long they last.

When I first wore them, they chafed the back of my leg and around my ankle. But when I laced up every available hole and pulled the tongue towards the inside of my foot, they gave me no trouble. In fact they're pretty comfortable. The toe box is good, unlike a pair I have from Rockport where I have had to put cotton balls between 2 of my toes to prevent blisters. (I will be giving them away.) One complaint about New Balance: I ordered narrow, but if I'm reading the label right, they sent medium width. I'm keeping them because that's fine. I bought a white pair, and I will probably order another pair, this time black. I recommend these shoes.

I bought this shoe as a replacement for my old, very worn NB 577 walking shoes. I am very, very pleased. These new ones are at least as comfortable and supportive as the old shoes were back in their day. The only down side is that New Balance seems to have changed their size chart. The old shoes were Size 11, while these had to be Size 11-1/2 to give enough room in the toe box. But with that one change, these have been great. I have worn them for about 40 miles of walking so far and I plan to use them a lot more. I just hope when these are worn out, New Balance will still have something this good.

Choices of decent men's White Leather sneakers are limited.Really glad to find these.Fit well (I used the size listed on another pair of New Balance shoes that I had.Great price and speedy delivery.Would definitely purchase from this Seller again

This shoe was as described and fills the need I had for a casual sneaker. I normally wear a 9.5 M and this was spot on for my foot. I looked at the reviews and the size chart and trusted the reviews posted. Comfortable out of the box. Now I well see how durable they are.

After almost a year of use, the material of the shoe is uncomfortable, especially for driving and for jobs that require standing for a long time. My dad now only uses it to be at home. I do not recommend it at all because of the material it is. very soft and easily deformed. The size was correct but the quality of the materials leaves a lot to be desired.

Shoes looked and fit good , They were made in VietNam not USA. I used to buy the earlier New Balance shoes because they were made in U.S.A. , so when I came across these I got excited. I am not disappointed with the shoes, just the country of origin. Time will tell how they wear, but look to be good quality.

New Balance shoes and boots have never let me down... I can't say the same for some other brands.

Men’s shoes are typically a D width. We needed and ordered a B width but it didn’t seem to fit any better than the D so are returning.
