Not the best value.
Not too much to say about skipping ropes in general, as they only need to do well in skipping really.Got this to get some basic exercises done, and it has been pretty good so far.The PVC over cable rope is very painful if you whip yourself by accident, which is what I had to get used to and be careful about. The biggest issue is the length of the cable. The adjustment process to alter the length of the cable itself is easy, however to fit the excess rope into the handles was actually quite difficult. It would be a lot better if the rope wasn't as long by default. I'm around 5'7"/5'8" which is a very average height, and to get the cable to suit me just fine, I had to hide a lot of cable and it could barely fit in. I had to put a lot of force in to squeeze the excess rope into the handles, which was quite difficult. If it was slightly shorter, this would have been easier. More length makes it suitable for more people, but I highly double anyone needs the entire 280 cm length of this rope. Forcing the rope like I did is likely to result in permanent changes, so when I may need more length in the future, it's probably not going to be in the best condition. Cutting it is another option, but not an easier option, and in fact more difficult in my opinion. I don't really have the tools to cut through a steel cable easily, and I'm sure not everyone has a tool like that at home, so stuffing it into the handles is the best option for most people, and it's not that easy to do.£6.99 for a skipping rope isn't bad, but comparatively speaking, it's a lot more expensive than alternatives and it doesn't offer anything more.Realistically, I want to give 3.5 stars, but considering the issue and the price really is tipping me towards the 3 star rating, being 40% more expensive than one I previously got, that's what I gave it in the end.

Basic rope for home exercise
The rope is very lightweight and rather easy to use for rope skipping. However what I was expecting really was a heavier rope since it's labelled as 'weighted'.The acceleration is quite limited but enough for daily home exercise. A bonus point is that it doesn't hurt when it hits you accidentally.I would still recommend it, just don't hope for a rope made with added 'weight'.

great skipping rope
review for Howeet Weighted Skipping Rope===================================great basic skipping rope. The description of the rope is misleading - "weighted skipping rope" - this item does *not* include the weights. The handles are hollow, so you can add the steel weights into the handles, but they don't actually include the weights. Also, the sturdy pvc coated steel cables is more marketing than anything else - the coating is a nice thick pvc, but the actual steel cable is tiny - around 1mm. Still a good skipping rope though. The ends of the skipping rope screw off and the rope can be easily detached for either shortening or replacing. Currently selling for £5, price usually around £3-5 for this type of skipping rope.

Good value skipping rope
I’ll be honest, I was hoping for a little bit more but for a £5.99 skipping rope, I was probably a little unrealistic so I won't knock a star off for that. This is a great beginner's rope.Pros• Best handles I’ve had on a rope. Big enough to hold onto when hopping around like an aged ninja and comfortable enough not to get any blisters or nicks from skinny handles where the rope is too close to your fingers and gives you a nasty whip if it catches you wrong. I have a speed rope which is nowhere near as comfortable to use.• Length adjustment – brilliant. Undo the end cap, post the cable through to the length you want it, move the adjuster and chop off the length you don’t want; leaving a good bit of length hidden inside each handle for later adjustment if case you want it. Very easy and simple arrangement that seems to hold up well. My older one has the one where you undo the nut, post the cable through and do the nut up again and if you cut the rope, you lose the end caps; not great for me.Con – singlular• Weight of cable. When it said it had coated braided steel cables, I was hoping for just a tiny bit more weight in the cable. It’s a personal like and I can’t criticise this one because of it. It’s a thicker cable than the one I had already so it moves well.I have the basic rope in black, maybe I’d have preferred a loaded handle one, not sure, but I’m happy overall.

Great high speed rope
This is a terrific skipping rope for those who are intense with their skipping workouts. My son is a boxer and uses skipping as a big part of his daily fitness regime. This is a great rope in that it has swivels in the handles to allow for high speed movement and the rope is solid so it has enough weight and solidity to allow for intensive use. The handles are chunky and well padded, making them ideal for gripping. For the money, this is about the best you will get.

Very effective and useful!
I bought these weighted skipping ropes very recently as I wanted to help one of the boxers that I train increase his speed and stamina and these work and absolute treat you can definitely feel the difference and the burn and the ache and next day is well worth it would definitely recommend for those people who want to up their training and really push themselves.
