Polk Audio Signature Elite ES30 Center Channel Speaker, Contemporary Walnut

I had the ES35 and It was ok, but I felt something was missing, like an empty sound, so I plunged for the ES30, what a difference, suddenly voices could be heard, and a more filling sound, and oh yes, it can thump on base. I have a full set up of Polk ES speakers and two subs, with rear speakers, height speakers, this filled in that empty sound, and I am so glad a got it, changed my speakers to 90hz, and have not looked back, you will be happy with the ES30, nut in a 200 Square foot bedroom the ES35 is good too, just not for large spaces like the ES30 fits into.

This center channel speaker was a great addition to my home theater system. Since none of the actors annunciate, articulate their lines these days you need all you can get to try and understand what they're saying and this speaker helps. When these new actors mumble and whisper their lines having this speaker gives me a 50-50 chance of understanding what they're saying where in the past I got next to nothing. Everything on my system sounds better since I install the speaker I would recommend it .

I’ve test Polk t30/xt30these are good center speakers but if you want greater exceptional sound es30 is it. I was turning the volume up and down and couldn’t figure out my issue until I got this es30 center speakers now I can hear crystal clear sound with some punch on an old denon. Skips the lower center speakers and get the es lineup.

Awesome sound from this center channel speaker. Got it on sale for a great price. Livened up my Yamaha A6A.

Looking to repurpose an older center Polk speaker, this new ES30, compatible with DTS:X HD, has 8ohm impedance and negates the need to change receiver impedance as my other speakers (T15) are also 8ohm . From my 5.1 system, the audio isn't much better than the T30 center speaker I also looked at, but the main difference of DTS X along with slightly wider frequency range gives the ES30 the edge. If your receiver has DTS X, go with the ES30. Speaking of edges, this thing is 20" wide, 10" deep, and 7 high. It is slightly too wide for my tv stand but am finding a shelf or other means to perch it on behind and above the tv, angled down. Definitely worth the purchase as voices have a ton of clarity, the best I've heard.

Nice center channel speaker for Polk 5.1 home theater setups. Balanced hi-fi sound, not dialog-boosted. I use it in a 3.1 configuration with Polk ES15 bookshelf speakers (never got around to installing rears) for both music and movies/TV/concerts. Know that it's large -- much larger than any typical sound bar -- nearly 8" high (by 20" wide by about 11" deep). So not ideal for wall mounting.

These are fantastic especially for the money. The sound really puts the system together with your right and left side speakers. The highs are bright but not tinny or shrill. The mid sounds are not overtaken by the tweeter or woofers. The woofers have a rich sound but do appreciate the help of a subwoofer. This center channel speaker is bigger than it appears in the pictures. Is a solid build and is a hefty weight. Go ahead and give it a chance and I hope you appreciate it as much as I do.

La tonalidad de estos altavoces es muy similar a las torres ES50, con algunas diferencias. El escenario sonoro es igualmente amplio y muy agradable. La respuesta de estos altavoces es más plana y un poco menos brillante qué las torres, las frecuencias medias se escuchan muy bien, mejor que las ES50, sin embargo, estos si tienen más ataque y en algunos casos en particular, si la canción contiene justo esa frecuencia(s), el sonido te golpeara en la cara. Por ejemplo, una guitarra eléctrica. Los graves son ricos, similares y casi tan buenos como en las torres. Sino fuera por un DETALLE, que tiene que ver con el puerto, genera una resonancia ESPANTOSA que los vuelve retumbantes y casi arruina lo excelente qué se desempeñan en todos los demás aspectos. El problema es que esto no se corrige subiendo el crossover para alejarlos de las frecuencias bajas, lo cual nos dice que esa resonancia no esta por debajo de los 200Hz, esta más arriba y si tu receiver no tiene varias bandas para maniobrar no vas a poder corregirlo. En audioscience han hecho un perfil de sonido del modelo S30 y si consideramos qué este, el ES30 no ha cambio mas que en la imagen, podemos esperar que la frecuencia qué causa esa resonancia esta en los 900 Hz. Intenté retirar el power port de los altavoces (las piezas blancas de la imagen), esto no corrige la resonancia. ¿Qué sí atenúa la resonancia? Colocar en el puerto un material como fibra de poliester, espuma de poliuretano, una tela etc. Esa es una solución agresiva. Es preferible colocar los altavoces lo más alejados posible de las paredes. Con esto evitarás qué esa resonancia proveniente de la parte trasera rebote y llegue a ti. En conclusion el buen desempeño de este altavoz merece la pena si puedes y te es posible úsarlo en las siguentes circunstancias. Simplemente uno solo como altavoz central. Y sentarte justo delante del altavoz ya qué el ángulo de escucha cuando el ES30 esta horizontal es menor, por su configuración MTM. Como altavoces principales L/R alejados de las paredes. Como altavoces surround. En mi receiver al usar estos altavoces como surround (mi sistema de audio es 6.1 canales) suaviza el sonido qué les envía, ya que la mayor presión sonora recae principalmente en los altavoces frontales y las frecuencias graves van al subwoofer. En este caso de uso, la resonancia producida se reduce significativamente y es imperceptible en la posición de escucha. Así puedo disfrutar el buen desempeño de estos altavoces sin percibir resonancia alguna.

Habe die Größe unterschätzt, sehr groß. Sound top, viel besser als mein Alter, Sprache sehr gut. Wűrde ich wenn der Platz es zulãsst jeder wieder kaufen. Aussehen und Verarbeitung top.
