I am incredibly impressed by the performance of my Lumitact G700 LED torch. For such a small, compact design, the sheer brightness it produces is unbelievable. It fits easily into the palm of my hand or a small backpack compartment, making it the perfect everyday carry tool for night walks, camping trips, or emergency blackouts.Despite its lightweight feel, the light output completely fills large spaces and throws a powerful beam remarkably far into the darkness. The adjustable focus is brilliant—I can easily slide the head forward to narrow the beam onto a specific spot or pull it back for massive wide-angle illumination. It is durable, intensely bright, and convenient to take anywhere. I highly recommend it!

Fantastic torch, incredible beam and easily lights up to 100 yards and probably further. Re-chargable so no scrambling looking for batteries. Reliable, I know that security staff at Hinkley Point co struction site use these torches. Well worth the money.

Offers great value for the money, good light and battery life

1) There are five modes, ie, high, medium, low beam, strobe and SOS. I can't find this in the instructions anywhere, but you don't have to sift through all the modes to turn the torch off. For example, if you are on medium, just hold the on/off button down for a couple of seconds and the torch will turn off. 2) Use the main rechargeable battery. The three AAAs are only for a back-up and the torch will get hot if you put these in, as they are not used to carrying such a high current. The torch wall stays cold to touch when the rechargeable battery is inserted. 3) The small metal ring for attaching the wrist strap is not strong. You could lose the strap. I took the larger, stronger ring off the mini light, threaded the wrist strap through it and threaded the larger ring through the black metal ridge on the end of the torch. I also attached it by the oyster clasp. 4) The torch itself has a very bright beam, both outside in the dark and enough to light any room in a power cut. There are some very specific instructions in the enclosed booklet about storage of the rechargeable battery when not in use, ie, charge it fully, take it out when the torch is not in use. 5) The Amazon listing is incredibly unclear in the listing as it states that this torch is 500,000 lumens. Yeah, right! A 200,000 lumens whites out a football stadium. The Lumitact website states that this torch is 'up to 15,000 lumens'. Not much different! Batteries aren't sold on the Lumitact site but the battery has its specifications written on it. Amazon sell replacements. 6) It's not very heavy (it might be for an elderly person or someone with no strength or grip in their fingers). The on/off button is easy to access and my elderly mother could turn it on/off but it took an effort. Still, it's far better than a lot of other torches. 7) All said, it's a good torch for outside, to have in the car and the SOS is a nice touch.

bought this torch back in 2021 and it has been in regular use ever since. Not every day, but consistently enough over the past three years to give it a fair test — mainly for checking our garden at night, during the occasional power cut, and for jobs in the garage where I keep misplacing things on shelves. I’ve also used it for car repairs when you can’t get a normal work light into awkward spaces. In real-world use, the brightness is excellent. It lights up our garden easily and will throw a beam right to the back fence, roughly 100 metres away. The flood setting is great for lighting a wide area, and the focused beam is ideal when you need something more precise. At 290g with the rechargeable battery fitted, it feels solid but not heavy. Battery life has been impressive. I’ve never managed to run it completely flat — the longest single use was around four hours, and it was still going. That said, I prefer keeping it topped up, especially because we live in an area where power cuts do happen. The battery compartment is easy to access and charging is straightforward. Durability has been excellent too. It has survived a couple of drops, been used in the rain plenty of times, and apart from a few scratches, it’s still working perfectly well after more than three years. The switch on mine has been fine and hasn’t caused any accidental activation. I don’t use the included pouch, so I can’t comment on that. Overall, this torch has held up far better than I expected. Bright, reliable and extremely useful for garden checks, emergencies, garage work and general odd jobs. After several years of use, I’m very happy with it and would recommend it.

Fairly typical in design and features, the "Lumitact G700 Led Torch Rechargeable Super Bright CREE Led Tactical Flashlight 2000 Lumen Zoomable Handheld Torches for Camping Hiking Emergency [Energy Class A+++]" is required to replace one from another brand used for several years whose body-mounted power switch recently detached from its mounting beneath a rubber dome and no longer functional or capable of repair. While it was once common for the power switch to be mounted somewhere centrally along the body, bottom-mounting is now more common and that is employed here; it may have advantages. Cree periodically update their LED cells making them brighter and/or more energy efficient and this now offers 2500 lumens of light that will cover quite some distance in the dark at a very usable level. In a smaller space, it may be possible to dim the level to preserve battery power. As is now expected, it offers a zoom feature to reduce the area of coverage to its minimum or expand it to several intermediate positions up to its maximum area of coverage. It has an all-metal body and provides five possible lighting functions and levels - full power, half-power, low, S.O.S, and flash, all of which are now standard. The front section is shaped to help smash a windscreen etc in the event of a vehicle crash or a glass window in a door etc. As well as its hard storage case, there is a fabric holster with belt loop, the high power battery with a plastic sleeve, and a carrier for 3 AAA batteries that can also be used (AAA batteries are not provided). A lanyard is pre-fitted and saves the difficult task of threading through very small holes. It also includes a bike mount to fix the torch to the handlebars and a keyring (neither of which are particularly useful) and a simple single-cell charger which is indispensible unless you own another. The battery needs to be removed for recharging - those unfamiliar with rechargeable lithium cells should note that the two end contacts look very similar, the negative being the larger - although some models allow in-situ charging via a small port on the body that is usually capped for water-tightness where it exists; it requires a separate USB lead to do so. This does not have the option. As delivered, the battery is enclosed in plastic film that will prevent it working or charging out-of-the-box; it should be first removed. It was supplied with a negligible charge level and required a full charge - up to 6 hours with the included basic charger, and up to 4.5 hours with a more advanced, variable charge rate model. Where a 18650 battery is provided within a thick sleeve, it often suggests that use of the larger and more powerful 26650 battery is a possibility but that is not mentioned in this instance. The 26650 is, at the time of review, much less readily available than pre-COVID and expensive (£25 each upwards vs. less than £5 each for 18650s) so less economical unless the longer use time per charge is essential. It would be more practical to buy a pair of 18650s, fully charge them and keep them as spares - they are usually supplied with a safe storage case - the charge level will remain largely intact and unchanged over 2-3 years unused. It takes moments to replace a dead cell with a fresh one and later recharge it in a few hours at home. This torch offers nothing new or unique other than extra brightness but at a higher price than is typical. An equivalent product with a lower lumen value (1700-2000) will usually suffice for most purposes and save a few £.

I wanted a decent hand held torch as i had seen the ‘50 000 lumen’ examples which seemed a bit over the top, bulky and probably don’t last long. This is a very competent torch. If you need a wide area covered it’s good for around 80-100 feet. And it’s bright. As you narrow the beam with the adjustable focus, it just goes on for ages, like a very powerful spotlight. It’s reassuringly heavy and feels durable, well engineered and well made. Unlike the ‘mega’ torches, it will fit comfortably in your coat pocket. I charged it up and left it to drain and it ran for about two hours. It maintained its brightness pretty much until it went flat. With the regular battery back up option in the form of a simple double AA cylinder, you're good to go if the rechargeable unit goes flat. Also comes in a very secure case. This would suit all users, hunters foxing, house owners covering emergencies, sailors spotting buoys, campers and caravanners doing the late night dog walk, and preppers alike. It’s going in the tool box. Can’t fault it. Hope that helps.
