CB Radio 10 Inch Rubber Duck Portable Magnetic Mount 27 MHz Antenna and Coax

I bought this antenna for use on a Pontiac Grand Am. I was originally skeptical about buying this one because of the short length of the antenna, but this one came with plenty of coaxial cable while other antennas were skimpy with the amount of cable provided. I am very pleased with both the transmit and receive range when using this antenna. It doesn't seem that performance is compromised by the short antenna length. This is almost a stealth antenna, especially when compared to other products that are much larger. I should add that the magnet is plenty strong, and overall quality seems good. I would definitely buy this antenna again.

Perfect size for my small car and my low garage. The transmission range will not be as good as a larger antenna, but it works well for communicating with vehicles around you. Note: I do NOT have an exact figure for transmission or reception range, I just know it is less than my previous antennas.

Bought to replace a Cobra CBRHGA1500 36-Inch Base-Load Medium Magnet Mount 300W CB Antenna that I bought here last year. The Cobra worked great and other than an initial problem I had with it missing a set screw when I got it I'd recommend it. But, I bought myself a new car, a 2014 Jeep Patriot, and the Cobra became a liability. The Patriot has a series of channels and grooves running the length of the car and at highway speeds the slipstream would get under the antenna and peel that sucker off the car slicker then deer guts on a doorknob. Not wanting dents all over my new car I knew I needed something else. After looking high and low here on Amazon and asking a question, I chose this one. It has a 3" magnetic base and fits nicely in the grooves and stays attached. I'm giving this only 3 stars because the sensitivity is obviously less than the Cobra. I'm not picking up all the skip traffic I got with the Cobra. (Which is actually nice - LOL!) I haven't tired transmitting with it yet, but I'd guess it also has a less effective range. On an RV, with a bigger ground plane, it might work better. On a car, with a smaller ground plane, it's probably acceptable, but not great. In terms of antenna, bigger is obviously better. I do like that I don't have to park the Jeep and take the antenna off before I pull into the carport.

I have used this once on a trail ride with my 4x4 club. It worked very well at short range on the trail ride. Have not tested it for long range performance. It has a very strong magnet. If you need a stubby antenna this one works well.

we like it we have it and the CB radio in a small bag and leave it in the trunk of the car when there is a stoppage on the interstate we get it out and mostly truckers will tell you what is happening and how to go around if it is going to be a long time till it is cleared up

I needed a short antenna so II could get in my garage without removing it. This works perfect for that and in addition has great reception. Not much of a talker on th CB so can't review transmit capabilities

I used it three times when i unscrewed it the third time the antenna portion came apart at the base of the antenna for the price I paid for this i expected it to last much longer. As far as transmitting goes the range was not that great.
