Husband is very happy with it!
My husband uses it all the time. Happy with the quality for cooking, and also how it washes up.

Great skillet for much less than the big name
I caught this on sale and figured it was a better option than the cheaper made pans that tend to warp the first time you use them due to sub-par materials. So far I've been impressed, with only two critiques to offer. Pros: Price was great for the quality of the build. The SteelShield system used seems to be a great design. I have other pans that have a "hex" design and I think both serve a different purpose. However, I'm confident in using metal utensils in MOST cases (this is one of the cons). With an induction stove the pan heats up quickly, and cooks well. I've done vegetables, pasta sauce from scratch, and hot sandwiches, all of which have gone very well. Cons: Only two things leave me less than very impressed. First, I wish there was some sort of protection on the sides of the pan. The big names with a hex design continue the ridges up the sidewalls of the pans, meaning I'm confident in using a metal utensil anywhere on the pan. This one worries me that I'll scratch the sides, and is the reason for the 4 stars on versatility. The only other minor complaint I have is that it didn't quite heat evenly wall to wall although the burner on the stove is the same size. Thing is, I don't actually know if it's the pan that doesn't quite heat perfectly, or the stove that doesn't quite heat all the way to the edges. This is the reason for the 4 stars on heat distribution, but that could easily be a 5 if I knew it was a stove issue instead. Overall, great unit for much less than the more well known companies. Very happy so far!

Fantastic pan set (also own hexclad)
This pan style is great for searing and sauteeing. We have one try ply and one version thats got the heavy base. The try ply is great for even heating and searing meat and vegie sautees. The heavy base one holds heat well and is great for rice and risoto dishes. Trich with steel is to heat up on high then reduce to medium to cook to make it non stick. Do it right and these reward you. Would rather cooke meat and roce in these than hexclad but hexclad is good for other cooking like eggs and stir fry.
