Pleasantly surprised, Welder above expectations.
As an other reviewer stated was a bit apprehensive about buying this welder due to lack of reviews. I am however glad I took the chance fantastic little welder. I am by no means an expert welder but his machine makes welding thinner materials (car body panels etc) so much easier than my old welder. The dial controls allow far more control than my old welder which had the typical hi/lo and level 1/2 control switches. The welder itself is light and compact, handy for taking to jobs away from my garage. It is by no means a heavy duty unit built for the rigours of rough workshop life but treated with the respect I give my tools I'm sure it will more than meet my needs (if you want a bullet proof industrial strength unit expect to pay an awful lot more) My mate who has his own garage and can weld very well couldn't believe the quality of welds he could get from a mere flux core gasless welder, this was with the wire supplied with the machine he reckons it will be even better with some good SIP wire. Came well packaged and Luke at Static Arc was a gentleman when I contacted him.

Bargain and works well
Superbly packaged on arrival, I’ve kept that for its long-term home after carefully opening the box. Nicely made and easy to set up, comes with some extra tips and a reel of 0.8mm flux cored wire, as well as the usual combined hammer/wire brush and folding fixed-tint mask. I don’t use either of the latter bits because I bought an auto mask and decent brush as the same time so can’t comment on them. It’s flux-cores d so a bit spitty in use but does good welds once you’re dialled in. I’m new to welding and purchased this after watching many videos on YT to understand what I wanted. This was the cheapest on sale at the time and I’m very happy for what I paid. Recommended for a newbie with. No ambitions to go up to gassed welds.

Excellent customer service
Total newbie- Brought product on reviews from other people on here as I wanted to start mobile welding. This unit is great for portability as its small and compact hence why I choose it.Initially, had a few teething problems as I felt the instructions were basic and aimed at people that knew what they were doing. I emailed seller and within a few hours they had replied with clear instructions on how to start, what settings I'd need and how to achieve that. I'd managed to finally get it all wired up (mig) but, no spark. Again, I emailed the seller and got a reply on a Sunday as well! They were prepared to do a direct swap, within a short few days so not to make it any more inconvenient for me. However, this wasn't needed in the end. Needless to say she works nowThis machine was good value for money imo, and I'm sure I will have fun with it.

Promising welder with plenty of adjustment
I like the fact that the welder came in a sturdy case and needed to be set up from scratch. The welder is quite powerful and needs some learning time to get things just right. I need to play more and get used to the art of welding I guess! One criticism is that it does not recommend 0.8mm wire and comes with overkill 1mm wire. The spanner tool looks useless, doesn't seem to fit anything relevant and is not mentioned in the manual. Some settings suggestions would be useful for various thicknesses to get us novices started, but I reckon with a few hours and days practise, I shall be pleased to have this piece of kit.
