Worked fine to replace the bulb for BenQ TH671ST Unit. Once I got the cover off it took less than 10 minutes to install and remount. Should have done this months ago.

First, I will say that I appreciated the careful packaging of this item. The lamp unit was wrapped in a plastic sleeve, and further wrapped in a bubble-wrap sleeve, all of which was inside a styrofoam housing, inside the cardboard box. Which of course was then placed inside the Amazon packaging alongside a Sealed Air pack. Inside the box for the lamp, there was also a baggie which had an eyeglass-style cleaning cloth, as well as a nice small Phillips head screwdriver with a clear handle. I placed the lamp inside the projector and secured it. Unfortunately, my projector did not detect the lamp unit. I had this happen to me with the previous lamp unit I ordered (from a different vendor); that previous unit had exploded (after only 1709 hours, and while I was on vacation and the projector was fully powered off...). The little PCB which is on the side of the housing, which records the lamp hours, is what the projector actually "detects". With the previous unit, they had a known manufacturing defect where the PCB was not being recognized, and they shipped me a replacement unit. Unfortunately, it seems that this unit has the same issue. Re-seating the lamp assembly, and even going as far as re-seating the PCB itself to ensure that it is making contact, did not fix it, and the projector was simply unable to detect the lamp. I was able to swap the PCB with the lamp which had exploded, and immediately the projector recognized this replacement lamp, and I was able to confirm that the lamp works. However, of course that means the PCB now has 1709 hours on it, instead of 0. If the manufacturer is able to send a replacement (even if it's just the PCB itself), then I will update the review to 5 stars, as this was the only issue I had. The manufacturer clearly puts the effort in to pack the lamp carefully, and even includes the screwdriver and cleaning cloth, and the unit was shipped to me quickly.

The product is last a long time and works great.

Technically it "worked" but the brightness was so bad that you couldn't see anything. I thought maybe it was my projector but I purchased a bulb from somewhere else it was like a night and day difference

Bulb lasted 5 months. These should last 8-12 months easily. I have had them that lasted a year or more.
