AirfixA55314 RMS Titanic Starter Set

Bought this for my 8 yr old son. He waited for it all week (I see him at weekends), come Friday after school, we both opened it....he was very excited. Sadly glue and paints missing from the box. Gaugemaster kindly sent them out after I advised them, which was great, but to stop my son's tears, we had to buy other glue and spray paint on the Saturday.. Contacted and Twetted issue to Airfix...who could not be bothered to respond nor acknowledge my communication to them. Not Gaugemaster's fault....but I will not purchase any more Airfix kits whatsoever. Disrespectful and couldn't give two hoots if components missing.

As a return to building models, this is a banger. Beautifully moulded, fantastic fit, and went together superbly. I chose to spray it, and add/replace rigging with some very fine cotton, and it looks stunning finished.I'm fact, I've bought another one to paint white, as HMHS Britannic.Brilliant!

I bought this for my 10-year-old because it’s absolutely obsessed of the Titanic now it wouldn’t be the Manufacturers fault because I’m quite sure all the sizes and information is on it it’s just I thought it would be a bit bigger and a bit more difficult he had it made quite quickly. I think it would pay to buy the larger one. Otherwise he did enjoy it, it just didn’t last long I was hoping it would last as a big project.

Arrived in good time. Purchased as a present for a young Titanic enthusiast, who seems to be really pleased with this.Great starter kit -- comes with paint and glue. Detail for the scale of model and price is excellent.

Great little model, can't wait to start it. Only 75 parts but some real small pieces could be a bit tricky for the younger modellers.
