Although it is like sewing with spiderwebs, this thread is strong and adds attractive highlights to embroidery projects. It is far more manageable than glitter floss.

You have to be kind of gentle, this thread shredded on me a bit. But it is really beautiful and has a nice variety of colors.

Looks fantastic however using this in a cross pattern as the pattern tells you to can be extremely frustrating as it wants to slide away from the other thread as if it's slippery and then wad up on itself. The outcome after the frustrating experience was very worth while as it looks amazing.

Took a little learning curve but I figured out how to tie off the starting knot and how to tie the end knot gently. Had no issues with it tangling, I did have to carefully pull more than regular thread but it didn't snap on me. This is great thread, finished the above design in about 2 hours.

I bought these for hand embroidery which I just started. These metallic threads feel like plastic, I can't remember if they were supposed to be combined with any other fabric. That being said, they are what I expected in color and shine. You have to be careful when cutting because they do want to curl if you stretch it at all. I doubled the thread in my needle and I'm very happy with the result. I am using this thread to embroider highlights onto fabric designs. I actually think there is more thread on the spools than I expected. These threads are very expensive if bought separately. This was a great price for a lot of variety for embroidery. I will definitely buy again if I run out. Just wanted to add that I've been working with this thread for a few days now and it does a great job for embroidery. I'm convinced that it is spun with some sort of nylon because it seems very strong for such fine thread.

First time using metallic thread and it will take a couple of times before I am satisfied with my techniques. I did have a couple of breakage issues but that could have been my lack of knowledge of how this thread works. From what I have learned of others it takes some practice. I have purchased Smithread several times in the past and will continue to do so as their thread is awesome.

Excellent variety of colours. Using the thread for embroidery on paper. It gets the job done, but frays & breaks by the needle. After switching back to a metallic thread I've used for years, I realized that this product feels brittle in comparison.
