Perfect fit. And it works.
Perfect fit. And it works. It only took me three years and three tries to find the correct part. That part at the bottom, where Amazon says, "This part is returned often?" They are right. Except this part worked.

Exact fit
Was surprised so many different Weber ignitors. Price was good, fit and works perfectly

easier replacement than anticipated
This was a much easier replacement than I thought, since I was also replacing the grill grates and flavorizer bars. The old igniter was pretty rusted and came out without much difficulty. This new one went into the same location and easily connected to the new push button. Worked flawlessly and total installation time was less than 15 minutes. Now, I don't have to use a lighter to start the grill!

Easy to install, works perfectly
The igniter went out on our grill. We ordered this and it was so simple to replace. It does require a aaa battery which isn’t included. This item arrived quickly and works perfectly!

Direct Replacement
This is a direct replacement for the old igniter. I just wish you could buy the steel shell that goes around the igniter because that always rusts out and won't make electrical contact so you don't get a spark. Everything else is usually fine.

Works Well But Securing To Grill Could Be Better
Works well and provides a strong spark. Only issue is it’s difficult to tighten the ignition module to the grill since the threaded plastic ring used to snug it up, slips. Not an issue once the push button used to initiate a spark screws down tightly and secures the module. We did put a couple drops of glue to help keep the threaded ring in place. Seems like a design or materials issue.

Fits older Weber grills
Just what I was looking for. Was real tired of lighting the grill with a match. Fit easily and perfectly.

Why didn't I do it sooner?
My cousin told me a few years ago that he'd taken up grill refurbishment as a hobby, and told me it would be so easy to change out my ignitor. I put it off and then decided to refurbish our grill as a Father's Day gift for my husband. Freaking easiest thing I've ever done. Why did I wait 12 years since it stopped working?! (Fer real, it might have just been a dead battery, but now I have a nice shiny button, so whatever.) I cleaned the grates really well, replaced the flavorizer bars and am about to purchase some new knobs. What an awesome and simple project. I'm handier than a lot of women but, seriously, this did not take a lot of effort or know-how. Do it.
