The book arrived fast and in great shape
I enjoyed the movie even though it was very stupid and the book is a good companion piece. The author is able to fill in some gaps in the story and helps you understand more details.

A fitting tribute and companion to the Legendary saga
I love the film but this is even better. It fills the gaps that left people wondering about several questions that weren't addressed or not fully answered in the movie. Besides that, it nearly connects to past films and comics as well as paying due tribute to the original Kaiju Japanese films and the 1930s/70s King Kong films that started it all. It's a marvelous narrative that despite being fast paced at times, it does a great job in developing these characters and allowing is to see the world through the titans and humans eyes.

Enjoyable and Fun.
The Godzilla novelizations have been fun. I've enjoyed them, and Mr. Keyes does an incredible job in fleshing out the characters and plot of the recent film. His chapter intros are particularly good, and add to the sense of mystery to the origins of both Godzilla and Kong. The text is easy to read and one doesn't have to think too much about what's going on. It's a shame that novelizations and tie-in's to films are dismissed. The writing is first rate.--JthreeWilliston ND

Nearly identical to the movie
I wanted to read this after seeing the movie to see how it differed. There honestly wasn't much additional content, except slight backstory additions. If you've seen the movie there isn't much point in buying the book.

Plugs a couple holes from the movie, and just like last time, is an excellent retelling plus more
* - MOVIE SPOILERS - *For any big Godzilla fan, I would strongly recommend reading this after watching the movie. Ren's character is a lot more fleshed out, Mark is written better, Mechagodzilla's design, the tech behind it, and subsequent rampage are explained a lot better; I absolutely loved the movie but I actually wish this was how the movie went. Great read

Adds Glorious Details to a Great Movie !!
This book really adds a lot of information that the movie wouldn't be able to add. During the movie there's parts where you may wonder, well how did that happen. This book will probably answer most if not all of your questions. The information gaps are filled in. Highly recommend this book. I really enjoyed it. I'm going to get the official book for King of the Monsters next.

Brilliant
If Edgar Allen Poe and Shakespeare had a baby, it would take the form of this piece of literature. With engaging themes and symbolism, Godzilla v Kong keeps you guessing until the very end! Recommend for all readers seeking a thrilling and challenging piece.

Godzilla vs Kong is a great book that adds more depth to the movie!
Godzilla vs Kong was already a really fun movie and fortunately, this book totally added to the experience! From the beginning, you're treated with events that took place before the film and throughout the book, more detail and an excellent description of the monster fights and environments around them. Good character balance as well and an overall very solid read.

A experiência do filme , expandida

Builds successfully upon the film
This is an exceptional novelisation in perfectly capturing the balance of expanding upon the original material whilst maintaining the spirit of it. Personally, I found it just as enjoyable as the film but with more depth and a touch more intellectualism (if you can say such a thing about a story where a giant reptile fights a giant simian). This mainly manifests in some better explanations of the quasi-science and with the chapters beginning with small exerts from historical, mythological and religious accounts. There is a lot of extra content included that the story really benefits from. None of it alters the basic storyline of the film. Instead it enriches it by expanding upon areas that the film skated over or failed to adequately explain properly. The whole Ghidorah connection, for example, was quite ‘blink and you miss it’ in the movie, but here it is given the attention it deserves and there is even a whole scene devoted to Ghidorah asserting its consciousness over Mechagodzilla and its original human ‘controller’/pilot, Ren. At the same time, it manages to portray the ‘alien’ nature of Ghidorah. There is also a somewhat better reasoning of why technology appears to be substantially ahead of our own even though the film is not set in the future. The novelisation focuses a lot more upon characterisation than the film, even for Godzilla and Kong. That sense of just waiting for the humans to get off screen and get back to the monsters and special effects is gone and all the characters get sufficient back stories that promote better understanding of their motivations. In particular, a lot more effort has gone into Nathan and Bernie. The novelisation also ties in a lot more to the overall ‘Monsterverse’. A lot of material is carried over from the graphic novel ‘Dominion’. Although it might be helpful to have read this, it is not exactly necessary as the novelisation sufficiently catalogues those encounters. Kong’s clash with Camazotz, the subject of the graphic novel ‘Kingdom’ is also covered to a reasonable degree.A lot of this all extra material makes the book far more extensive in its opening stages. The first clash between Kong and Godzilla doesn’t happen until halfway through. Although this inevitably slows down the pacing it is certainly beneficial to the overall storyline.Although it doesn’t fully replicate the big screen action sequences (which after all would be virtually impossible with today’s special effects) it captures them in a far more successful manner than the novelisations of ‘Godzilla’ or ‘King of Monsters’, despite these being written by the same author. The emphasis in the novelisation seems slightly different to that of film. Whereas it felt like the film was more behind Kong and took things a little more from his perspective or the humans with him, this seems slightly more orientated towards Godzilla. However, this might just be a biproduct of it being written by the same author of the previous two Godzilla novelisations and ‘Dominion’.
