My Daily Mascara
Apparently I've bought 9 tubes of this on Amazon, and I am about to buy another! I've used this for about 5 years and it's my go-to mascara. I love the small brush and performance. There are no smudges under my eyes at the end of the day and I have normal/oily skin. (My other sometimes-used tube mascara L'oreal Beauty Tubes, does smudge a little). It provides good volume and length, but it's not dramatic - for that rare occasion I use L'oreal Lash Paradise or something like that. One thing to note is when you open a new tube, the formula is a bit thin. But after a couple of weeks the formula thickens and then it's perfect! I still use it from day one but I wanted to let people know that if they initially don't like the consistency. Removal is SO EASY with just water. Some people are using eye makeup remover, which has oil and I think that will prevent water from directly contacting the tubes, that's why they're having trouble. Water softens the tubes (let them soak 15-20 seconds) and they fall right off with light sweeping with my fingertips. In the shower I just wash my face as usual and it comes off easily. If I'm washing my face at the sink, I'll hold the warm damp washcloth to my eyes for about 10 seconds and gently wipe away. I use cleansing oil and foaming wash, and neither have gotten in the way of removal.

Better than blinc! Smaller tube, though.
I love it! Since moving to Memphis, my regular water-proof mascaras were smudging and giving me raccoon eyes like crazy! (Must be the humidity.) I have used Blinc in the past, but $30 a tube is CRAZY for this mom of 5. I tried the Loreal tube mascara and it works, but it's a drier formula and the brush is too big for my lashes. (I can't get close to the lash line.) The brush is small and great w/ DHC! It's tiny and I can get ALL my lashes. It made my eyes look like doll eyelashes. I tried it for the 1st time yesterday to my son's baseball game in 88 degree weather. No flaking, smudging, or raccoon eyes! I do use ELF's cheap mascara primer 1st, just like you have to do with the Loreal tube mascara. I feel like it adds some volume and extra length. It's only May. As it gets warmer here and the humidity really begins to pick up, I will give an update, but so far I am really impressed!

Best mascara: sweat-proof, non-clumping, all-day wear
I converted to tubing mascara a few years ago after years of unhappiness with regular mascara that either turned me into a raccoon or waterproof mascara that clumped and was impossible to remove. Tubing mascara is great! However, most of the tubing mascaras I found were hard to apply without clumping - I always had to carefully run an eyelash comb between my lashes after every swipe of mascara. This is the holy grail of tubing mascara - I can apply without the eyelash comb! It even lasts longer in hot/sweaty weather than the other tubing mascaras I've tried. (It also takes an extra couple seconds to wipe off with a hot washcloth at the end of the day, but I don't need any specialized makeup remover.) The container is small, but it always lasts me the three months that is the limit for mascara. Highly recommend!

Great definition, no smudging! Love it
Update: Started out as 5 stars, went down to 4 stars after 2 months. Overall, it lasted about 3 months, and then, even though there is product left, it starts to get clumpy. I really do love it, for the price I wish it would have lasted a little longer, but I'll probably still order it again. I love this stuff. It's everything I've searched for in a mascara, and I have tried so many... from the average ones to the expensive ones. This doesn't smudge, doesn't budge, until you wash it off (which sometimes for me is a full 24 hours later). No makeup remover required, just wash your face as normal and after you rinse, gently pull/slide the coating off. I learned to do this after I've rinsed, otherwise I get soap in my eyes. I have thick lashes so they are prone to getting stuck together - since this is a small brush and I usually do better with deeper brushes, it took a little practice on the application. I learned I had to scrape much of the product off the brush, back into the mouth of the tube so that I don't have too much on the brush. Now I get it right every time. Proof is in the pudding: I recently went on a camping trip to the river... On the way there my friend asked if I had eyelash extensions (win!), then we floated around in the water (nothing too splashy, did not submerge, but still I was in the water several hours), then we went to sleep.... when I woke up, I did not look like a raccoon, it actually looked almost as good as the day before (some minor crumblies which I brushed away). So I was able to just leave it as it was - I didn't even mess with it or wash my face until we were home much later in the day. Long story, but to me, it really showed the awesomeness of this mascara.

good for sensitive eyes
This isn’t the most dramatic mascara in the world, in fact it leans pretty natural, but it’s one of the only formulas I’ve found found that doesn’t make my sensitive eyes burn, has a small wand that makes it easier to apply with precision, stays put all day without flaking and still washes off easily with warm water. Even though I would prefer a bit more volume, this is comfortable and fuss free so it is what I always return to.

Great lengthening mascara !
My favorite - and I’m picky. It does have the “tubing tech” but as is such with ALL of DHC products - super nice quality and reasonable (when purchased on sale, which they always have!) and yes - probably won’t ever switch if I’m buying it! Tend to stick with what I like - I’ve used this for 4+ years -

Not worth it
I love tubing mascaras and have been using tubing mascaras by many brands. My favorite ones are by tart and Thrive cosmetics (TC). I’m going to rate the 3 main things the DHC mascara claims to do (smudge proof, easy to remove, lengthen) + Overall review of the mascara as a whole compared to the tart and Thrive cosmetics: 1)Smudge proof: Yes, 100%. It is toe-to-toe with TC in this aspect. The Tarte also doesn’t smudge until you try to wash it off 2)Easy to remove: Average. It sure does come off after a bit of massaging with water but takes for rubbing than the thrive mascara. It doesn’t smudge under eyes (raccoon eyes) like the Tarte does when washing off. Problem is it comes off as tiny little pieces that can get stuck in your eyes rather than larger pieces that can be picked off easily (as is the case with thrive cosmetics). 3) Lengthening The DHC product is absolutely useless in this aspect. I mean I was not expecting volume as the product doesn’t make any claims to that, but I did expect length, which it did NOT give as you can see clearly in the pics I attached compared to my natural lashes and the other two brands. It just made my lashes look spidery 4)Overall Review: Waste of money. While it is smudge proof and easily removable which is the bare minimum you’d want from a tubing mascara, it just doesn’t look good. I mean you be the judge based on pics (same application technique was used for all 3 brands, no lash curler or primer used, and 3 coats was applied for each brand). Here’s my recs: All three rands are smudge proof. Other qualities ranked from best to worst Volume: Tarte>Thrive>DHC Length: Thrive>Tarte>DHC Easily removed: Thrive>DHC>Tarte Price points only vary a little : DHC ($19), Tarte ($24), Thrive ($25)

My holy grail!
I have blonde eyelashes and oily eyelids, so if I don't want to look like an albino I have to tint my lashes, and when I do it usually makes it look like I'm still in my goth phase that ended about ten years ago. I've tried just about everything on the market, drug store and high end. The problems I always ran into were thus... Sure my mascara would look great when first put on, but within an hour I'd be getting transfer to my lids both top and bottom. I was allergic to several formulas as well. And worst of all, many of them were so hard to take off, even with oils, that I'd lose eyelashes in the process of just getting my face clean. What a pain! I heard of this particular mascara through Lisa Eldridge on Youtube. I've used some of DHC's skincare products before and they seemed fine, but I guess I'd never really considered their makeup. Part of that is because they are NOT drugstore priced and there wasn't much for reviews or demos of the products either. Skeptical as I am of trying any product when I haven't seen someone else use it, I'm even more so when it costs three or four times what I pay for things I can walk down the street to a CVS to buy. I have to say, Lisa's use of it really did impress me, and even more so that she has used it several times. I loved the look of it, and when I finally got fed up and started looking for SOME solution to my raccoon problem I started seeing a lot of talk about tubing mascaras. It took a while for me to sorta connect the dots but when I realized that this mascara that Lisa had used not only looked great and performed well enough for her to recommend it, but that it was also geared specifically for people like me who want something that stays on but washes off easily, I snapped this right up. My general impressions of the product itself are thus... - The first thing you will notice is that the tube and wand are both fairly petite. I like this because I feel it gives more control and isn't like a brick in a bag (see: CG Lashblast). - In terms of application, it feels fairly wet going on but dries very quickly. I think it works best, particularly if you have light lashes, to coat the tops of the lashes first and then get the sides that show with your eyes open. This forms a more complete 'tube' which I feel prevents flaking, makes lashes look fuller, and prevents flashes of blonde when you blink. - The look of it is more toward length than volume, but the formula is not thin either. I think it is well-balanced and definitely doesn't need more than one coat for a nice "lashy" look without being clumpy, still relatively natural. - This stuff doesn't budge! I have yet to have it flake or transfer at all, even after 10 hours in a hot kitchen. If you get your face pretty wet it might start to come off, but it doesn't do it in a runny way, just little clumps that can easily be wiped off. - Removal is really easy and I don't find I have to use a separate remover for it. I wet down my face thoroughly with warm water, use whatever cleanser I feel like at the time, and just in the process of getting the rest of my face clean the mascara tubes peel off. It basically looks like little clumps of black goo which don't seem to stain or transfer pigment anywhere, it just washes down the drain. Any straggling bits still clinging to lashes wipe right away with fingers or just about anything else. You won't end up with mascara residue on showing up on your face the next morning, the stuff really is gone.

Good!
Good mascara. I think it's a tubing mascara, because I struggle removing it with the DHC oil. Sometimes it applies so beautifully and i get almost an anime eye look but other times my lashes look lump and strange, I don't know why even though I apply the same method--sparingly over my curled lashes. But I will repurchase nonetheless.

Great no smudging mascara
Being half Asian, I find it difficult to find a good mascara that doesn't smudge. This one does the job and comes off with warm water. Last all day with no smudging. Will buy again.

Endlich!!!
