NORMAN BATES Psycho McFarlane Movie Maniacs 2 Figure

20 year old horror icon figure still looks awesome to this day. I'm extremely surprised to see that Norman Bates from arguably one of the top 3 recognizable horror movies of all time was so extremely cheap. Especially because this is the only figure to date. I'm a extreme horror collector and I'm very happy to have norman in my collection. Get him now cause well probably never get another one ever.

Unfortunately character wouldn't stand to display it and the knife broke as soon as I placed it in the hand.

The figure is great, but I must say, this is almost a 20 year old figure, and the package was in great condition, no fading or cracked plastic , its one of the nicest maniacs in my collection, I'm so happy.

This figure from Mcfarlanes' second series of Movie Maniacs features an amazing likeness of Anthony Perkins from the first Psycho film from 1960. While the figure has a great likeness it has little articulation and is very prone to falling over. You get the standard Movie Maniacs poster but this time around instead of a poster from the first film in the frame they simply removed the 2 from the Psycho 2 poster, very cheap. The accessories included are a removeable grey wig that fits on Norman and a very cheap plastic knife that broke very easily. The detail is great, perfectly capturing Anthony Perkins likeness and outfit from the infamous shower scene. One cool feature is that the right arm of the figure that holds the knife has a pivot feature that helps to emulate the stabbing motion from the film. Overall the figure with its lack of articulation and cheap accesssories isn't really a must buy unless you're a completist for the Movie Maniacs series or a die hard fan of horror films, particularly the Psycho series. Overall out of 10, I give it a 4.5.

There's not very many Horror figurines in the Movie Maniacs series done by McFarlane Toys that I'd bother getting, except for a select few. However, I am glad Todd McFarlane got the ball rolling for Horror toys! This figure of the original Norman Bates from 'Psycho' is a must have! McFarlane Toys nails it!!! The figurine really looks like Anthony Perkins!!! Unlike McFarlane's 'Pumpkinhead', 'Candyman', 'Friday the 13th', 'Child's Play 2', and a few others, this Norman Bates is spot-on! Everything about this toy is accurate in what's seen on film from the facial likeness of Anthony Perkins, right down to the dress that shows the exact detailed patterns seen in 'Psycho'! I admit, the packaging is a bit ugly but you'll want to be smart and keep this bad boy mint on card. As with all the others, the box does have movie bio and has a sticker, as seen above, showing original artwork! This Norman Bates comes with kitchen knife, mother's wig, and a base that displays original mini size poster!

Very nice figure, I consider myself lucky to find this one. Delivery was on time. I would buy from this vendor again. Thank you, love it. Looks great on my shelf!
