Changing technology in Ipad's requires this cord
Using this on a DJI Drone to adapt the new Ipad to the controller, always something changing. Also need to update the App to match both.

It works fine. Connecting iPad to computer to charge is a slow method.

Only Used Connecting Mac to iPad to Transfer Files
Why purchased:I don't like iCloud. I prefer fuller control of all my files (except Contacts and Calendar.) So all other files are strictly on my own hard drives and have backup external hard drives I use instead of the Cloud. I connect my iPhone and iPad to my Mac via cable to transfer files. This 6ft cable provides more convenience than Apple's 6". I use Apple products for charging.The good:Once connected it's easy to drag and drop any file from my computer to my iPad. Haven't needed to do the same with my iPhone yet, but there's no reason to think it won't perform well with that either.The not so good:It's a bit glitchy getting the 2 devices firmly communicating with each other. It requires 3 or 4 tries each time for the iMac to finally "see" the iPad so I can transfer files. I'll report back if this issue becomes worse, in the meantime it's just a minor inconvenience.
