An Insightful and Inspiring Guide
I have read, and pored through The Economics of Data, Analytics and Digital Transformation multiple times, bookmarked key points and gone down many rabbit holes of theoretical ideas around concepts for use, implementation, and design.Despite each chapter being capable of enough content to fill their own book, respectively, Bill lays it out in a detailed, yet 'overview' styled format to ensure it is not just a reference point for one particular role or personality, whilst allowing the full 360 vision of it all to be clearly evident and attainable. From C-Suite to various technology-based roles and beyond, the book summarizes the concept in a concise and clear way so that it can be consumed by anyone without getting too bogged down with technical jargon. My favorite chapter is: Creating a Culture of Innovation through Empowerment, where it lists 5 subcategories, with Number 5 (Embrace Critical thinking) as that which I found most insightful.A guide, a manual and so much more than a one-time read, I recommend this book to anyone who has a passion for Big Data, Analytics, Digital Transformation and it's overall potential for subsequent monetization.

Great book as a roadmap for data science leaders
Recommended by Kirk Borne on Linkedin, I knew the book when there were just 1 or 2 reviews on Amazon. I am glad that I made the decision to buy this book! It turns out to be a great asset, helping me to think strategically about how to evaluate data value, how to frame an analytic project, and more importantly, the economics laws that drive the digital transformation of the whole world. I love this best from the book: " it isn’t the volume of data that one monetizes, it’s the granularity at the level of the individual that one monetizes." A great book I would recommend to all data practitioners!

Essential Reading
I'm just starting out in my career in data and have been frustrated with the lack of focus on value when discussing 'data problems'. The lessons in this book speak to a lot of the issues I have already seen and will form a great basis for me to hopefully address some of those issues in future and to educate others.

This book is for you if you are want to transform your business and help your organization to change
Yes it is not a book to read to calm down or let your brain relax. This one is to start a journey and start to move. During and after reading this book I got lot of AHA moments that help you to change to learn more and most important, to start doing and learning meanwhile.Just a few spoilers 💊s :-#analyticschasm ? Your organization needs to leverage the economics of data and analytics on a use case-by-use case basis-#datalake ? Let us transform it into a collaborative value creation platform, to facilitate the capture, refinement and reuse of the organization’s data and analytic asset across multiple use cases-my favorite theorem: the ability to reuse the same datasets across multiple use cases is the real economic game-changer-some cons I could see (may be other would say thanks God) is missing some more mathematical things when reading “Schmarzo Economic Digital Asset Valuation Theorem” (sorry for being 🤓) and some cons about the printing book(Packt should make easier to access the quality of infographics, having them in black and white makes difficult to read them fully)-Digital Transformation Laws! My favorite: the law 7 📑 The heart of Digital Transformation is the ability to identify, codify and operationalize the sources of customer, product, and operational value within an environment that is continuously learning and adapting to ever-changing customer and market needs-great great chapter about #innovation through #empowerment where between the most important tips I consider the “AND Mentality” + #designthinking
