It was the best decision for me buying this when we are going to the hotels recommend .

Its cheap, effective, easy to initiate, no installation needed, light weight, portable, durable enough. Its a no brainer! Buy it if you are considering it.

We bought these for use on a couple exterior doors when we were away for vacation as extra security. The design is nice and simple and once installed they really do a good job of keeping the door closed. The issue we had was that our door has wood trim around it so it was very difficult to find a way to make the winged washer fit. Maybe if the threaded bolt in the middle was about an inch longer it would have been a lot easier. Other issue is that since our trim was wood, when I tightened it up I made a slight dent in the wood and for one in my garage I even had to notch the wood a bit to make it fit. I would still recommend if you want that added sense of security for your home or room.

Been staying out of town every week for work so got this. Absolutely worth every penny and one purchase I am glad I made. Easy to use. The door does not budge once fully engaged and tightened. Not only did I try it, but I forgot to put out the do not disturb sign and housekeeping tried it. I feel secure in my room now. I used to always put my purse on the floor right next to me but now I leave it on the dresser. The only thing is the metal does leave a tiny dent in the door frame so if you're in a fancier place where that might be a problem you might want to put something under the metal piece. This is absolutely not leaving my travel bag. I plan to buy a couple more in the near future. One for my house. A cheap way to add security.

Have the space for it to fit according to ad but the post with wing nut is too short to be able to get it into the area it needs to be. If that was another inch long maybe it would fit but still looks as if the door striker and door frame hole would not allow them to go together. Everything should have fit according to the ad but sadly it does not. I am sad because it looks like a great idea.

They work great but are a pain to use on doors or cabinets that you need access too regularly. They don’t fit just anywhere, very size specific. Also, it works get to keep little children out of things but as the get older they can spin the little stopper and open the door you’re trying to keep shut.

I've had this for nearly a year and the product still holds up well. For the cost, this will due what is intended by providing some peace of mind!
