We have two dogs, which makes it less than ideal, which is fine. We are totally aware that it works best with just one dog.It worked ok right out of the box, but trying to use the record function for the dog that is more problematic just made it not really work well at all. And there is no option for “default”, so all we could do was try to re-record it in hopes it would work better.Now, after 4-5 months, every few seconds it just emits a really high pitch sound that is audible to us, and incredibly annoying, so we can’t even use it anymore. We still use the modus handheld device on occasion, but this thing is going to go in the trash.

2nd update: Nov27th (not sure how long it’s been possibly over a month of using it)Love this thing! My dogs aren’t shaking any longer when this thing is on, but they do run away as I approach it. Hehe If someone is at my door and they are crazy barking say at a 12. I turn it on (it beeps) they go from 12 to 0!! No joke this thing works! Best investment ever and I do and have recommended it to ppl with barking dogs in "their own" home. Thank you for a great product!Update: 4 days laterThis definitely works. If you turn it on and use it the way the instructions explain it. I don’t leave it on a the time. I turn it on when my dogs bark. Whether they see me or not they know and run and hide. To the point that I don’t really turn it on that often. If used as a training device it’s a really good thing. I say “No” as I turn it on and I believe they know they don’t like the noise so they stop barking. I will update in another week or 2 to see how it’s going since most devices stop working for them after a few weeks. 👍*Monday when I first received it:I bought this because my 2 Yorkies bark non-stop. I have another gadget that helps the male dog, but my female nothing works. It was charged when it arrived. If you haven’t done so make sure to read the directions about recording your dogs bark. The only thing I’ve noticed besides less barking is that my dogs are panting and hiding when they see the device. I hid it behind something and it helped a bit. Not sure if I’m keeping just yet. If I traded barking over my dogs having anxiety and scared, I’m not sure that’s a good thing. Also does anyone else feel a little nauseous when this thing is on?

We have two dogs that bark. One little one and one small one. It is in the same room where they bark. THIS THING DOES NOT DO SH. It’s on the highest setting. Started it small and it wasn’t working so we upped it. LITERALLY NO CHANGE. I’m so unbelievably disappointed in this. Wouldn’t waste my money on it ever again. Wouldn’t recommend it at all to anyone.

Takes a lot to program and adjust. Can’t tell if my dogs attitude is called to attention yet. I’ve played around with it for two months.

In spite of setting it up to only go off when the dogs barked, this thing apparently was emitting noise continuously, judging by the way my pups would hide behind furniture and cower whenever I attempted to use it. I sent it back for a refund. I'm trying to reduce excessive barking, not abuse my dogs.

We had a hand held beeper thing that we would use when the dogs barked. Although that did work ok, it meant we had to have it in hand or within reach when needed.This unit solved that problem! I am no longer trying to deter the barking with something I do but rather this unit does it for me. I love that a charge lasts a long time - the directions say up to 15 days but I try to plug it in once a week. The unit also works when plugged in.It is a nice tear drop design - it was bigger than I was anticipating but I put it up on a shelf and it blends in nicely. It does come with a hanging strap if it is easier to hang it somewhere. The directions say to position 5 away from the ground and within 50 feet from the dog activity area and the effect is better without other obstacles.It has different settings but I have not had to turn higher than the low setting. I have noticed less barking from my younger dog. The product does say it is suitable for dogs over 6 moths and under 8 years so my older dog may not hear it as good. I am noticing when they do bark it is once or twice instead of the steady barking until the person has passed by our house.Overall I am very please with the product and happy that we found something to help them not to learn to bark as much at things.

I have a pair of 1 year old Shih Tzu's that go crazy any time someone comes near the house. I bought this to stop them from barking. I have done everything I know to get this to work all to no avail. I hate leaving a bad review, but I am very disappointed

This is pretty much just another piece of China made trash... it didn't do anything the way it read in the instructions which are in some sort of broken English. Attempted to use and never stopped dog from barking. Returned 3 days later. Save your money!
