Rockville RT6 1" Silk Dome Car Tweeters Pair, 240W, 4 Ohm, Neo Swivel, Variable Mount, In-Line Crossover, Ferro-Fluid Cooled, Perfect for Car Audio

Wow as usual Rockville products are amazing. I owned their subwoofer amp and now these tweeters. I'm going to use Rockville for anything I can, going forward. These 1" silk dome tweeters gave me exactly what I was looking for in the audio-quality department. I bought these to replace my .75" aluminum tweeters, because metal tweeters sound really harsh and there's no amount of fiddling with the equalizer settings that will change that. I bought these to see if I could make the tweeters less harsh-sounding. Well these Rockville tweeters do just that. Now I can actually dial in more of the higher frequencies because it's so much less harsh. So I end up hearing more cymbal crashes and everything. In fact every system I build here forward will be with silk dome tweeters and not metal ones. Also: this particular tweeter kit comes with hardware for several mounting options, all very well made and good quality stuff. Even comes with different sizes of double-sided tape, screws, and mounting brackets for every conceivable mounting configuration. All for an $18 tweeter kit. Amazing. Rockville hits a home run on value, again.

these tweeters are very nice.they sound very clear I'm using them with a 80 RMS APM and they sound great.

I added the RT6 tweeters to my 2000 Ford Ranger 4 door to add a bit more sparkle on the top end. I removed the rear jump seats and added a Rockville 10 in. 200 watt under seat subwoofer that I mounted standing up on it's side where the driver side rear jump seat use to be. By adding the RT6 tweeters it helped bump up the treble frequencies and added clarity and definition to compliment and keep up with the added subwoofer. I was able to easily EQ the system for a smooth sound that suits my taste. The install was easy enough and having the cross-over already installed into the tweeter wiring is a big plus. I surface mounted the tweeters on the rear door window sill, drilling a hole just big enough to pass the wires thru and two screws to attach the mounting plate. It made a clean installation. I'm running a Kenwood HD Radio - CD unit and now I'm happy with the sound.

These replaced the JBL tweeters that went to the matching component woofers in my Honda. One of the JBL tweeters died on me. The Rockville tweeters are noticeably equal in sound quality and absolutely a huge increase in volume and quality over stock tweeters. I have had cheap Power Acoustik tweeters before and they had a loud hiss background noise with nothing playing. These have a hiss too, but it's much quieter. These would've gotten a 5-star review if they were silent like the JBL tweeters. It's also very nice that they swivel, as well.

They sound good. I was looking for a pair of tweeters to add to my stock stereo without amplification. Seeing that it's rated at 30 watts rms, I thought I'd be ok. Being rated at 4 ohms compared to my stock 12 ohm tweeters, the highs were somewhat subdued. Nothing an amp can't fix. But that's what I was trying to avoid.

Con: I'm Only giving the value the money review 2 stars. Reason being! The first pair I purchased blow almost 2 hrs after they were installed. Everything was done right. Down to shrink wire protecters! The second pair have been in my 05 chevy Trailblazer for a week now. No problems what so ever! Pros- Domes are moveable in stationary postion. The speaker's in a holder at purchase. Sits flush with my trim. Everything in the pictures are exactly what comes in the box. Mountable in several different areas of your vehicle. Fits any model of car/truck! *YOU MUST USE THE CROSSOVER RESISTORS WHEN INSTALLING THIS PRODUCT! CROSSOVER IS NOT IN THE SPEAKER!*

One of them wont work unless you wiggle the wires and it only works for a second then quits. But the other one sounds great I did a custom install so install was not rateable.
