Light weight yet extremely sturdy! My husband grinds through normal sports guards within a week, however, the extra cushion in the back prevents him from grinding as easily. Also, he grinds and clenches really bad during the day. He has mentioned that he wants a guard that he can wear during the day... Long story short, he found that he can wear this guard all day. He loves that he can talk clearly with the guard in and that he barely notices that he's wearing a guard. Molding wasn't easy at first, but thanks to the ability to remold the guard, we were able to get it right and mold the perfect fit! (I also got myself a guard).

Used daily for the last 8 months or so, best mouth guard I've ever used. I haven't taken any real hard shots to the teeth but they feel like they'd do a good job of supporting them. The last mouth guard I had I lost a molar wearing. Poor fit caused the tooth to break under force. Have not had such issues with these and they are easily remoldable without worrying about pushing all the molding material off to one side as the entire mouth guard changes shape. Your teeth move over time, this is an important feature. Breathing is also unobstructed. I drilled holes in my last one to facilitate breathing, which made it harder to clean. This one is easy to clean. Low profile fit. I use it for MMA and Jiu Jitsu.

I purchased this mouth guard for my son, who is autistic and practices BJJ/Muay Thai. Unfortunately, due to his sensory issues, we struggled to get it to fit properly. Despite multiple, maybe too many, attempts, it was too rough for him to continue trying. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ However, I still give it 5 stars for its quality. The product itself was user-friendly and far superior to traditional mouth guards in every possible way. If I had approached the fitting as i did with my best failure, playing dentist and side by side, I might have been successful. The mouth guard is durable and almost stayed in place during my failed attempts. I am confident that if I had succeeded with my son, this would have been the perfect mouth guard for him. If you are in search of a mouth guard that is sturdy, stays in place, allows for easy breathing and talking during intense activities, and your child does NOT have sensory issues to do with his mouth and dentist type stuff, this is the ideal choice. I washed it well and gave minimal, read that as extremely poor, guidance to my 12-year-old son, and surprisingly, he got it right on the first try. It would have required minor adjustments, but overall, it was a straightforward process. He is only 2 years older than my other son, so it was not a maturity thing, however, my 12 year-old would need the adult size, plus he does not do the same activity. While I am unsure about a solution for my autistic son, currently we are stuck with Hope no teeth are knocked out, for a child without sensory issues, the process is simple, and the results far surpass traditional mouth guards. I emailed the company and they quickly replied and they are taking care of me.

Great mouthguard for preteens! My 12 year old son plays lacrosse and after trying several mouth guards over the course of the years he says this one is the best! Was easy to mold to his teeth, easy to keep in and he is able to talk with in it as well.

My daughter started playing Lacrosse and I bought her a shock mouthguard at a sporting goods store. But she hated wearing that one. She said it felt huge in her mouth, made it hard to breathe, and she was just very uncomfortable exercising with it in her mouth. I asked her high school and club coaches and they all recommended this one. They said it’s the most comfortable and is very protective and it’s what most of the kids buy now. It is much better for my daughter. She says it’s totally different and she can breathe really easily. And it stays on her teeth when she opens her mouth to breathe instead of being loose in her mouth and making her gag. She can even talk normally when she’s wearing it and doesn’t need to keep taking it out to catch her breath or to talk like she had to with the other one. It was too tight / too hard when he first molded it. We watched the instruction video to make sure we did everything right (we should have done that first, it has good tips that made everything easier). They say if it's too tight, to just throw it in the microwave for 5 seconds to loosen it a bit, and then try it on again and repeat if needed. We did that 2x and now it's perfect! It was very easy to mold it after watching the video. I ordered a white one, then I learned you can’t wear white mouthguards in lacrosse games for some reason, in case it helps anyone else to know that. She’ll use this one for practice and we’ll get her another color for games. Compared to the other one which isn’t breathable at all, this has lots of holes and is very breathable. It’s firmer and not squooshy so it feels more protective. It also molded exactly to shape of all of her teeth. The other one only did where she bit. Here are pictures of them next to each other. These are much much thinner than normal mouthguards.

I need to wear a mouthguard for jiu jitsu - but I HATE wearing them. They make me gag. I was rolling in a competition a couple of months ago and had to spit the one I was using out. So I saw two here on Amazon that looked similar and very low profile - Sisu Max and Bulletproof. I bought both. It only took me 2 tries to get a great fit with the Sisu Max and it seems very durable. I had a hard time with fitting the Bulletproof - it took me about 10 times to mold it and it came out so so. I do like how the Bulletproof feels - it’s like having nothing in your mouth. But that’s kind of what worries me about it - it doesn’t seem like it offers as much protection as the Sisu. The Sisu Max feels more durable and it’s still fine for me to wear. I am going to use both but the Bulletproof will probably be more of a backup. I did get a Bulletproof for my son, as I needed some comfortable protection for him and the Sisu is too big. But he’s also not getting hit as hard in the mouth as I am… yet.

I guess I'm the exception to the rule... The mouth guard would not mold to my teeth correctly. I watched the videos over and over and over. I don't know if my bite is just so messed up that it would not like up or what. My mouth is now sore from trying so many times. The material is made well, the color is vibrant, it seems sturdy once or hardens and it really snaps onto your teeth for the most part. The backs kept folding in on me, then one side was shorter than the other, the it was pulled to far front and it hit the upper part of my gums and lip, then it wasn't suctioned to the top front of my teeth enough. It's been 3 hours and it was supposed to be no more than 4 mins total. I am going to have to find something else I guess but I don't know what else to get other than paying big dollar for a custom mouth guard I can't even afford. Wish me luck!

The classic youth mouth guard is pretty awful. Boiling them for forming seems to always burn the kid's mouth, and I've had one break apart just from having to re-do the initial forming several times. Even if you happen to get them set right, they are very bulky. Kids are constantly pulling them out to talk clearly or simply give their mouth a break. As a parent and a flag football coach for the 4 to 5 year old and 6 to 8 year old age brackets, ten minutes doesn't go by before I'm having to remind my son or the other players to put their mouth guards back in. Inevitably they drop them and get distracted dusting them off, and it seems to always happen just as a play is starting. I can say the old-style mouth guards have scored on us several times. This year was different. Eager to try yet another mouth guard hoping to find a better fit for my son, the Bulletproof Kevlar Youth arrived. The first thing you notice is how incredibly thin and lightweight it is. The next thing you notice is that there are markers and alignment guides to help you with positioning for forming. Then there's the odd fact that you don't boil them - you use 160degF water which is much more comfortable for the kids during forming. The videos were easy to follow, though it took me a second attempt to get it just right. Unlike traditional mouth guards which only seem to reset about halfway back, these truly reset back to their starting shape when reheated while they are new - it's fun to watch and you ought to try it at least once! Once your kid has used the guard a few times, it gets back to about 90% of original shape if you have to reset it. One unexpected bonus is being able to easily remold these as baby teeth grow, fall out, and shift! As far as field use, these are absolutely a game changer. Kids with the Bulletproofs can make play calls with mouth guards in place and their teammates can clearly understand them. They all but forget they are in place, which is perfect for keeping the focus on practice and games. My son does still tend to chew on his mouth guard, and while I believe it lasted longer than a traditional one, it wasn't by much. We tested the excellent customer service and got a free replacement under the warranty. I'm sure we'll be buying a new one in a year or so as I can't imagine going back. I wish we had tried a Bulletproof much earlier, but I'm certain I was staying price conscious and sticking with the cheapest options. In hindsight, I was saving $5 to $7 but not accounting for the fact that these are Made in USA and have a real, human customer support staff. Most importantly, they still protect my child's teeth while allowing him to spend more time developing skills and enjoying game play.
