Every Kitchen needs these
If you're looking to upgrade your baking game, or simply tired of flimsy, warping cookie sheets, the Nordic Ware Naturals Aluminum Commercial Half Sheet 2-Pack is a fantastic investment. This set, proudly made in the USA, delivers on its promise of durability, even heating, and overall versatility. What I Love: Heavy-Duty Construction: The first thing you'll notice is the heft. These pans feel substantial, not flimsy or lightweight like many cheaper options. The pure aluminum construction is thick and sturdy, promising years of reliable use. They don't buckle or warp, even at high oven temperatures. Excellent Heat Distribution: This is where these pans truly shine. The unpainted aluminum heats up quickly and evenly, leading to perfectly browned cookies, evenly cooked roasted vegetables, and consistent results every time. No more hot spots or undercooked edges! Perfect Size & Versatility: The half-sheet size is incredibly practical. It's large enough to handle a big batch of cookies or roast a family dinner, yet it still fits comfortably in most standard ovens. Beyond baking, I've used them for sheet pan dinners, roasting veggies, making pizza, and even as a cooling rack for larger items. Easy to Clean (with proper care): While they're not non-stick, cleanup is surprisingly manageable. I recommend using parchment paper or silicone mats for stickier items. For general use, a bit of dish soap and a gentle scrub is all it usually takes. Some patina/tarnishing is normal for bare aluminum and doesn't affect performance. American-Made Quality: Knowing these pans are made in the USA with high-quality materials gives me confidence in their longevity and performance. It's a purchase you can feel good about. Great Value: While they may seem like a bit of an investment upfront, these pans are built to last. Considering their durability and performance, the 2-pack provides excellent value and will likely replace multiple cheaper pans you might otherwise go through. Things to Consider: Not Non-Stick: These pans are made from uncoated aluminum, so theyโre not non-stick. You will need to use parchment paper, silicone baking mats, or grease your pan well to prevent sticking, especially with delicate baked goods. Patina/Tarnishing: Over time, these pans will naturally develop a patina (oxidation) which is a normal process for bare aluminum and is not harmful. Some might prefer a shiny, new look, but the darkening does not impact their performance. Storage: Two half-sheet pans do take up some space, so be mindful of that if you have limited storage. Overall: The Nordic Ware Naturals Aluminum Commercial Half Sheet 2-Pack is a truly worthwhile addition to any kitchen. Their robust construction, exceptional heat distribution, and versatility make them a go-to for both baking and everyday cooking tasks. While they might not be as convenient as non-stick options, the trade-off in performance and durability is well worth it. If you're serious about baking and looking for pans that will last, I highly recommend these. Five out of five stars. This is a purchase you won't regret.

Perfect sheet pan - easy to use and clean
We've only had these about 6 months and don't bake a ton, but they've worked beautifully each time. They aren't non-stick but they clean up very easily. I've had to use a green plastic scrubby a few times to get some burnt bits off, which leaves faint grooves in the pans, but I don't mind the tiny patterns a bit. They're still as beautiful and non-stick as when they arrived. They cook whatever we're making well and we appreciate the medium weight. We also like that the half-sheet size is a little bigger than our previous sheet pans, so you can fit more. They work beautifully with the Nordic Ware wire rack too. Together, they're perfect to bake on.

Mostly good but will require you to find a new best cooking temperature
First the pros: These Nordic Ware baking sheets are of high quality. Not flimsy like typical baking sheets found in grocery stores. These are much heavier and are likely similar to the one's used in restaurants. Not much higher in price than the cheaper alternative. Due to even heat distribution, food burns less and is less likely to stick to aluminum foil on these baking sheets. Con: Sort of a minor one. Might be a problem for some. You will need to adjust your baking time and/or temperature for all food you cook in the oven. Typical cheap baking pans tend to have hot spots and cook faster at a lower temperature. A heavy duty baking sheet like these requires a much higher temperature. We used to cook chicken for 1 hour at 300 degrees on a regular baking sheet and it would be thoroughly cooked, sometimes burned up a little. Cooking chicken at 300 degrees on the thicker Nordic baking sheet for the same amount of time leads to undercooked chicken. So you will need to raise the temperature quite a bit across the board for all food items. Chicken cooked well at 350 degrees for us. So I think most food you bake will have to be cooked roughly 50 degrees higher and a few minutes longer.

These pans will not warp.
These pans are perfect. They don't warp, easy to clean and are show quality. Definitely worth paying a little extra. I bought cheaper pans and they immediately warped and even looked cheap. Spend the extra dollars and you will be happy.

Good size for me. Rolled edges help keep it from warping

This is a good heavy duty baking pan.
Well made. Non-stick if you do not burn food in it and do not scratch it. Would buy again.

Amazing quality that will last a lifetime if taken care of.
This review is for the Nordicware Natural Aluminum Commercial Baker's Half Sheet (2 Pack), Silver. Purchased in 2017. These have stood up to many uses. Not sure where people are coming up with the coating thing. These are pure aluminum. Discoloration of some kind from use is natural. Scratching of some kind is normal. If you want nonstick then put a very very thin layer of oil. Those of you that use cast iron know what Iโm talking about. I guess some folks donโt put the effort into getting to know their tools. Hand wash. How hard is that? The company even says you should do that. People complain about how it looks after going through a harsh chemical bath are just not smart. Go ahead and get those cheap nonstick coated junk that will rust because they are in the dishwasher every time they get dirty. Then buy another set and then another. I personally would not hesitate to buy these again. I donโt need to because they will last my entire life since I take care of them. The price is amazing for what you get.

It's a baking sheet!
Great light-weight baking sheet! I use it for cookies and strips of veggies mostly. Heats and therefore also cools quickly, useful when you need to stop food from cooking further than when you remove from heat. Transfers heat to food quickly, as aluminum is known to do, so it's easier to burn food on the bottom while the top remains undercooked . This does not have a non-stick coating, so if you don't take the necessary precautions food might stick, especially burned food! I haven't had any problems with these pans warping at all when used normally in an oven, on the racks. I did, however, noticeably warp a half sheet pan when i tried seasoning it like cast iron on the bottom of my very small oven because it wouldn't fit anywhere else. Not too bad, but it can spin on a flat surface now. It was essentially directly over the broiler fire. I use it to sort rocks out of dry beans now, since it doesn't even fit in my oven. I haven't had any problems with using my smaller sheets *under* the broiler, with food in it. I would advise against trying to use aluminum sheets on a stove top, gas or electric. I've seen reviews complaining of these pans shedding metal even after washing. I've seen this happen to my pans too, though I quickly realized why and how to stop it. Pure aluminum, and a lot of aluminum alloys, are very soft relative to things like stainless steel. Like, almost gold-soft. This isn't necessarily a bad thing if you expect this already and still want the other, more desired characteristics of aluminum cookware. But if you don't know how to take care of a certain metal, you may end up having to deal with a lot more drawbacks. You shouldn't boil or even leave water in a cast iron vessel lest it terribly rust, or cook acidic food on bare copper lest it turn green, and even hardy ol' stainless steel will corrode if you dare try to clean it with bleach or boil brine in it. As for aluminum, scrubbing with most typical scrubbing sponges and steel wool is like taking sandpaper to wood and should be avoided. The damage is easily halted, though. Just like sanding wood, the aluminum will stop shedding when you stop scrubbing. Instead, soak aluminum in plain, hot water until stuck-on food is soft, then use soft side of sponge or a soft brush to lather and rinse! I personally season my aluminum sheets as one would with cast iron (burning thin layers of oil on (I prefer canola to flax) until solid and hardened) to help make it less stick-prone and more resistant to scrubbing, but I still am careful with how i clean it. Hope this helps someone!

Damaged pan
It is a good product but one of the pans came with small dents. This is really disappointing.

Bought this for a Christmas present. I have a set as well and use mine all the time. The size is perfect for a full roast and veggies and they make excellent cookie sheets. Easy clean up. I love the quality and highly recommend these trays.
