Suitable for purpose
I have a Garmin Nuvi 57LM .The cigarette style power lead was giving up.I purchased this 2 metre USB style power lead as it comes in direct to the unit and I could feed in in around the dash holder. I also got a 1 metre lead but I wanted this 2 metre version as I have to use different vehicles at work and the plug sockets are never in the same place nor is the shelf on the dashI used this one all day as without any issuThe original power lead the unit kept switching off as loss of power or would not start up or was very hit and miss.The screen now appears bright so there must have been power loss with the original lead.I found this lead was MORE THAN long enough in a VW T6 Transporter to reach the dash above the steering wheel without getting in the way .The 1 metre worked better in the T6 but like I said I have to use other vehicles where the sockets are located elsewhere and 1 metre would be too short.
