Essential...coat hooks like any others you may buy. But the build, sleek,flat design of the hook rack is very good once up and hidden by your coats! 😉

Although I quite like these coathangers and they are made out of steel and the black finsih looks very good and stylish. What I will say about them is that looks can be deceptive. To be honest, I really should have checked the dimensions before I ordered them, and the only thing that stopped me from sending them back for a refund was down to the fact that you get two of them. I would also say that because you do get two they are quite a bargain but only if like myself you do not have a large family and only a couple of people will be using them. There are a few major drawbacks regarding the design and it's really mostly down to the dimensions being too small. For example, there is no way on this earth you can hang 4 coats on one of these racks simply because the hangers are too close to each other. It may be possible if you have thin jackets but a winter coat will easily take up two of the hangers. Depending on how big your coats are you may get 5 of them on the two racks at a push. But in most cases, I would say the two racks are only really suitable for 4 coats at the most. Also, the screws and wall plugs they provide are only fine if you are hanging them on a brick or concrete wall. But for partitioned and plasterboard walls you will need a better wall plug and ones suited for that purpose. For my purpose, they will do and the only reason I knocked off a couple of stars was really down to the flaw in the design. These would be perfect if they made the racks about 4-6 inches wider with the same amount of hooks. The one thing they also have in their favour is the material used to build them and this price point I personally do not see them being beaten.
