Is this a good belt to use without a wetsuit as well?

How do you thread this buckle? I’m having issues.

Lift the tab, slide the belt through the buckle and then press the tab down firmly. Now if it's the lead weights you're having an issue threading, be sure to have the correct lead weights that the gaps are big enough for the belt to be woven through it.

Any thoughts on this rubber belt vs a nylon belt for scuba? Any preferences?

If your nylon is very stiff it may be better for not twisting when you throw it around your waist to put it on. If you have a floppy nylon then I don't really have a preference. Rubber or floppy nylon=same to me. I prefer stiff weight belts.

Specifications: 200cm/6'6.75" long, 7cm/2.75" wide; 150g/5oz. weight approximately. This is a thick all black coloured rubber diving belt with an old style black coloured seat belt buckle, in robust plastic (nylon?) If necessary, the tough and thick rubber belt may be trimmed down to size but the extra length, may prove useful for others or activities. I bought two of these; one for a wet suit, the other for chest waders. The quality is excellent, simple to wear, very tough/durable, coupled with great value. Now I must belt up! See the photographs.

Sturdy and fits well

Fits me really well which was surprising as a larger guy. Feels robust, and holds standard weight well. Buckle is Plastic but feels tough and not like it could break easily, very happy
