This vine will crawl all over your fence.
We love this summer squash we call “hyotan”. I soaked the seeds overnight and planted them in potting soil in disposable cups. I gave the seedlings to two friends.

Proliferic vines!
Wow, my mother is Vietnamese and we love to eat these in soups. I have two vines and they started off a bit slow but wow do they have fruit, I’ve counted over 14 and growing, within days they are ready to harvest, quick growers. I sowed 8 seeds and 2 germinated but I believe that is common with this type of gourd. While my honey dew were attacked by squash vine borers these seem to be fine and they are side by side. Hoping they are of no interest to those pests, If so these are a winner!! Thank you!

So much from so little
If you like bottle gourds, please give this a try. We were late in planting, but we got there in the end. Three plants were successful; two in garden, one in a pot. But once they started to grow, they spread like crazy. Note, this is a vine, so it will spread. Right now it's taken a portion of our deck and is encroaching on the other plants. But it's fruitful, if you put in the effort.Note, this plant has both male and female flowers. If you want successful fruits, you will need to break off the male flowers and have them touch the female flowers directly for pollination. Besides the fruit, you can also eat the leaves; just wash well as it gives off a soapy residue. The only negative was fighting the caterpillars and the cucumber beetles, but they can be managed by visiting your local store to get repellents. Good luck!

Good Seeds
We all count on reviews to determine if we will purchase or not. Therefore, I try to rate my purchases. I will say this was a good batch of seeds. The germination was about 100 percent.
