Works great and holds up well on my old work boots.
Works great and holds up well. I had to glue the heel back on an old work boot. The small tube of glue is just right for one job.

Works Great
This stuff works really well. I like these small tubes because they store better than the big one, which dries out after you open it. The bond will usually be better than what the manufacturer put on your shoes. The only downside is that the shoes never look quite right after applying, maybe that's my lack of skill? When I retire my work boots they become dog walking shoes and that's when I use the shoe goo and it works fantastic. I can get an extra year or two out of them usually. Recommended.

Bonds great!
I have used this product before and it works great. Make sure the area is clean and dry before gluing together though. I really like the fact of the smaller tubes. My experience with the bigger tubes is that I use very little and don't have to use it again for another 2-3 years. Then when I go to use it again it might be slightly dried out. I put the one small tube that I used in a food saver bag and sealed it. If this doesn't work then at least it is less waste.

Very strong glue for shoe/boot repair
I like the little single use tubes. I have purchased the larger tubes just to have the lid glue itself permanently to the tube, leaving me a 95% full tube of product that is unusable. It is doing a fantastic job of holding the boot sole onto my favorite winter boots. It doesn’t need mixing, just open the tube and squeeze! It’s a nice viscosity, not runny. It dries quickly. My boot soles are still as flexible as they ever were, there is no crackling or cracking. Since it’s clear, you can’t see it, so it isn’t obvious that I have done a repair. One caveat, like most strong glues, its odor is powerful as well. Make sure you use it in a well ventilated area!

Works great!
We got this to glue an insert into my son's slide so he could have summer shoes. He has a leg length discrepancy, and we needed to be able to glue an insert in where it would stay and still be able to get wet and hold up to a 12 year old boy. So far so good. It is been glued in for a little over a month and is still going strong. It does have an odor when you are applying it and it is drying. It is a bit messy. I bought some little tiny spatulas in a container from Amazon and I just used those to apply the glue. The color is clear, but if you're messy with it, it is visible just as if you were putting clear caulking around your tub or sink. As far as leakage, I can't speak for that because this insert has some air holes in it and we are using it in a slide and going to the beach so we expected it to get wet. If you're using it to seal a shoe to keep water out, I can't speak for that, but water hasn't caused the insert to come off of his shoe.

These are TINY. Get the 3.7 oz. and write off any remainder that dries out.
I bought these because the larger 3.7 oz. tube would dry out before I'd used it all. But I'd use more than all of these before a 3.7 oz. tube dried. These are about $8. A pack of 2 3.7 oz. tubes is about $7.50/tube so, hands down, get the larger tubes. Just bite the bullet on the larger tube & figure if you don't use it all within a year, the rest is a throwaway. Beware of lesser prices on the larger tubes; they have shipping charges which makes the total price absurd. The best price currently is a pack of 2 3.7 oz. for about $15 (11/25). I have an assortment of green rubber A/C O-rings & one size perfectly fits the 3.7 oz. cap. These help the drying problem tremendously; any rubber O-ring should work. Also, smear a bit of Vaseline on the threads so you won't need pliers to get the cap off a few months later. As for the product, it's the bomb. I've used it for everything, truck window seals, aquariums, catamarans, velcro straps, you name it. It seems to be ultraviolet proof so better than silicone seal outdoors although I'd still use silicone seal indoors since it doesn't sag. Shoe goo will sink & sag; a benefit if you want it to penetrate somewhat, not a lot. Once you have it the way you want, it's tough and lasts forever. Somewhat flexible but very strong. Ironically, I've quit using it on shoes. It's probably excellent on indoor shoes but I used it on work shoes. Once the leather gets wet, it will separate eventually, like a few months. Apparently, nothing sticks to wet leather; get stitched soles. So, just buy the larger tubes. At 3.7 oz./(.18 oz. x 4), if you use 1/5 of the larger tube, you're at break even for the price even if the rest dries out. If you need a smaller applicator, use Q-tips. These come in a plastic bag, not the blister pack shown. I'm ok with that. Addendum: Where shoe goo isn't appropriate, search for "liquid rubber". It's excellent & I've found that I can dilute it (you're not supposed to) to 20%. That will flow like water and still seal leaks, several tries may be needed. I stopped all the cowl leaks in my truck by doing this. Undiluted, you can't beat it. It's not cheap but I just love it.

This stuff is better than super glue for your boots/shoes!
I love the small tubes, most things can be fixed with much less than a tube,so you only have to open one for virtually all repairs. I had some work boots that were in good shape but the sole was glued onto the actual boot part with some not so great adhesive from the boot manufacturer...I could look down on my boots and see some spots where the top of the sole was slowing coming apart from the bottom of the boot itself. I used SHOO GOO in the larger and smaller spots that were coming apart. It doesn't dry super fast like regular glue so you have plenty of time to get into the spots that need to be filled. I used a skinny plastic stick to get some SHOO GOO deep into the small slits around my boot sole that were opening up. Then i took some more SHOO GOO and smeared it close to the area where the sole meets the fabric of the boot. (Smear it with a paper towel or latex glove to ensure it doesnt have a lot of excess SHOO GOO drying on the outside of the boot/shoe) You want to hold tight on the two surfaces that are being stuck together so it stays as tight as possible while the immediate few minutes of drying happens. If you can use something to hold it together tightly that would be ideal,if that isn't possible then hold it very firm/tight together with your hands for atleast a few minutes to ensure it will stick together by the time you let go of it. (Use gloves to protect from any SHOO GOO from sticking on your skin) I did my boots two weeks ago and it has held up great. It is best to allow to dry a minimum of 8 hours but i recommend atleast 24 hours of dry time. Love the product, and the fact i have other small tubes still unopened ensures that they will not dry out in the tube if they sit around for a year. Great value for fixing your boots/shoes,highly recommended! 5 stars!
