How wide is the leg opening?

The leg is boot cut but the opening is not overly large. I can wear them with casual or dress shoes and they look good. I will tell you with relaxed fit that I wear mine a size smaller. Normally I wear a 33 waist but with these I wear a 32. Hope that helps.

Are these button fly or zip?

Pretty sure they are zip (i already wrapped them) but they are awesome quality.

There is "some" stretch to the jeans but not over the top. You wouldn't be able to get a size 40 waist into a size 30 pair of jeans.
