Definitely helps with heat stress
These are great. I bought these for our heat injury prevention program at work at an engine power plant where the heat index can easily reach and exceed 120.I wouldn't say they will wisk you away to the icy mountains like some cheesy old mint commercial, but they are definitely the difference between just being hot and having a heat related injury. Bought them for my wife and sons, as well.

Cooling tool
Nice large towel. Best tool against the South Carolina heat. Dip it in ice water and chill.

It worked fine, I just wished it was longer -i didn’t pay attention to the length
It will keep you cool but you’ll wish it was longer real quick. I later bought a 29” one and that’s the one I’ll stick with. They both do an old job but the longer is more functional. I guess you could use the shorter one for a kid

Do I really like it?
Was gifted to me for heat relief during summer golf. I think I used it once, and then not even after the round. Maybe if I were near heat stroke , it would be appealing

The fact I can write this speaks volumes.
You have to understand Florida heat to understand this review.Today was 95 degrees and sick humidity. Sweat doesn't evaporate, it just soaks your clothes. Just mowing the lawn brings you close to heatstroke. I'm usually wiped the rest of the day. Looking for a little relief, I ordered this.First, this is in no way cloth. It feels like textured gel. It's pliable until wet the first time. When it dries it is stiff.Today I had yard work to do, got it wet per instructions and draped it around my neck, tucked into the top of the my shirt.I did fence repair then up on the roof to clear debris. After, I raked the debris from the yard.Typically, I would be a wreck after this. Make no mistake. I was hot and sweating but I wasn't wiped out. I did resoak it a few times. Then I went out and pulled up sod, raked it away and at that point I started overheating.I'd worked in the yard for three and a half hours. After a shower, I'm tired but not dead.Normal yard work is 1 to 2 hours. 3.5 hours speaks volumes about the towel.I think anywhere else in the US this would keep you temperate and comfortable. Here it keeps you alive. That's worth 5 stars.

Better yet, lie down on it
What a life saver. My apartment is on the top floor and is not air conditioned. We've been having humid, 100+ degree weather, and I would not survive without this towel. Yes, it's refreshing if you drape it on your neck or arm, but if you want your body temperature to plummet, here's what you do. Pour some cold water on it (refridgerated water, if you have it). *Barely* wring it out. This towel can be saturated and it still won't drip. Now drape the towel across your lap, or lay it on your chest/stomach. Better yet, lie down on it. You will be cold immediately. In fact, it might even be too cold for you! It works best when it's flat on your skin, which is why it's more effective to lay it on your torso or legs than it is to just drape it over your neck with a shirt on.Now, it's true that this is basically a glorified synthetic chamois, like you'd use to dry your car. It's a tiny bit thicker, but not by much. If you want to spend only $5 instead of $10, go down to your local auto store and see if they have one in the car cleaner section. You'll know it's the right material if it comes rolled up in a tube and packaged in its own plastic wrap. It's called "PVA" material.

Buyers remorse
Container came opened from the bottom I the mail. When I opened the package the cloth had stains on it and it felt damp. We set the cloth on top of our dryer to air out and it stained the top of our dryer where it was laid. I threw this towel away, not a good buy for me. I wish I could give it zero stars. My son was really looking forward to using this towel after his games.
