SM147 Turn Signal - Fog Lamp - Wiper - Dimmer - Multifunction Switch

I'm a 61 year. old woman. When the fog lights on my 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser started coming on all by themselves and draining my battery, I researched online and found out this is a common problem. I thought I had solved it by simply removing the fuse, until time for State Inspection. I learned that, while not required, if a car has fog lights they must work properly. So, I found this multifunction switch at a reasonable price and watched a YouTube video on changing it. After assembling the correct tools, I tackled the job. The only difficulty I encountered was that the bottom of the 2 T10 screws attaching the windshield wiper control to the other assembly was not as easy to remove as in the video. Because the steering wheel was in the way, I had to go back inside and get the snakelike extension which allows you to work around corners. Then, the plug holding the wiring harness was not that easily unplugged for me. I had to pry it loose with a tiny flathead screwdriver. Other than that, the job was easy and I can only imagine how much a mechanic would have charged to do the job. All my lights work perfectly now.

My old switch had the fog lights stuck on, apparently a common issue with the pt cruiser.I ordered this part to replace it. Disconnected battery, installed quickly and easily, reconnected battery and the new switch blew my fuse. Replaced fuse and tested again, once again blew my fuse. The headlights worked with it, but the turn signals and hazard lights didn't.I replaced the fuse a third time, reconnected my old switch to test, to make sure no other issue. Fuse was fine with my old switch, and the hazard lights and turn signals worked perfectly still. My fog lights are still staying on, so I'll still have to replace, but I'll buy from a reliable source instead.

My 2005 PT Cruiser multiswitch was barely working. I'd researched all of the replacement alternatives.eBay had a lot to chose from, but they were all priced far above this one.Installation was easy.Works perfectly.Now my fog lights turn on, my windshield washers wash the windows and I'm completely satisfied.

Replacing the turn-signal switch, which had a broken 4-way flasher button that would not stay down, was a very simple job to install. After disconnecting the battery ground cable with a 10 mm wrench, small, thin Phillips head screwdriver was used to remove the plastic on the column. Two different size Torx bits were needed, one to separate the windshield wiper side which was not being replaced, and one to loosen the switch from the column. I think those were t-10 and t-20, respectively. Reverse procedure, connect battery and test. 20 minutes tops.

Didnt work returned. Bought more expensive part and no problem. Should have read all reviews.

Revived item , got to me in timely manner. Installed on vehicle, worked fine . Proceeded with other repairs to car which took 3 months . Started driving car beginning of Feb , then on 8 Feb noticed fog lights coming on when turn signal activated , I would switch on and off and they did ok until thismorning , my battery dead , fog lights won't turn off with switch. So now 10 days of use of switch I have to get another switch , in mean time diss connect battery when not driving...unacceptable...

2005 Pt cruiser Limited edition, cloth interior. Basic with no fog lights. So I bought a pair and learned I need to add the control switch to operase the fog lights. Took about an hour and half for testing installation of the lights. The control switch was maybe an half hour. There is video of me doing it, just have not uploaded as of yet. I will It's not hard at all. The fog lights work, oh you will need to replace the fuse.

Fits and works perfectly and it's a great price.
