Solar panel too small for this radio to be useful
This radio does not charge up well with tiny solar panel leading to short play times. Sound quality is nice. Micro usb card is ok ...bluetooth would have been better?Charges well with the crank, the 2 lights are ok .Useful if battery is fully charged.Cant get weather stations with this in the country like my other radio. Also no automatic weather alert system on this radio. Radio not very sensitive to distant stations. No fine tuning knob. Can only get 1 station on sw mode.

Not worth the money
This is a nice looking little radio with great features. Sound quality is ok. The SD card feature that plays MP3s is nice. But the build quality really lets it down. I've owned 2 of these units and both had the same issues. With the first one it didn't take long at all for the antenna and knobs to break off. Eventually the USB charger port also broke off. With the second unit the USB charger port broke off again quickly despite taking care to avoid happening, such as keeping the cord plugged into the port. Very disappointing. The internal battery could be externally charged but due to the unusual size/type you'd have to buy a new charger for it which wasn't worth the trouble for me. Will still continue to use with 3 AA batteries or hand crank charge. This radio is overpriced for the quality you get.*One star for the radio unit itself but an extra star for the seller who was very responsive regarding my dissatisfaction.

Nice emergency radio
Very impressed, was larger than I thought. Sound quality is very good. Haven't had a chance to see how long internal battery lasts yet but option to use 3 aa batteries is nice. All in all a nice little emergency radioI have now tried the included rechargeable battery, lasted over 12 hours and still going. Very good radio for the price

Couldn’t get the noaa channels working. Radio worked fine.
I had a really hard time finding and setting the actual noaa channels. I’d look it up online but the channel was always different from the options on the radio. Would spend several minutes just scanning trying to get picky and I did find it once but it was basically useless for us that way. We’re not sure if we ever had the right channel set but always tried..Worked great as a radio and the other features are cool.

Fantastic budget addition for an emergency kit.
From a design standpoint this little radio is great. Of course it's not indestructible, it's meant to be affordable and functional in an emergency, not a daily field abused main radio set.The internal rechargeable cell (removeable) appears to be the same unit used in many common vaporizors (ecigs, 18650), which are typically priced at the same cost as what the radio was bought for.Considering how little it costs, it has a ridiculously wide capability. I deliberately discharged the battery until inoperable and crank charged it for a mere 15 seconds, and watched as the led lamp operated for almost an hour as I read my book by it.Again. For the price, it's perfect as an emergency radio, emergency lamp, flashlight, and emergency low voltage power source.
