perfect replacement part
I picked up this Stratocaster Split Shaft Potentiometer and Capacitor Kit (3-Pack) for a guitar project, and overall it worked out really well. I was upgrading the electronics in a Strat-style build, and this kit had everything I needed to get the job done. The pots fit perfectly in the pickguard and control plate, and the split shaft design worked great with standard Strat knobs. The size and specs seemed accurate, and installation went smoothly without any issues. After wiring everything up, the controls felt smooth and responsive, and the tone control worked just like it should. Performance-wise, the kit performed great once installed. The capacitor paired well with the pots and gave the tone knob a nice usable sweep. Itโs also a great deal for getting three pots and the capacitor together, especially if youโre doing a repair or new build and want something affordable that still works well.

Perfect for Stratocaster rebuild
Work great, Solid construction. Smooth roll off. Haven't tried the capacitors yet. I tried a different value, but I will soon. The .047 is a little to dark.

Fender, obviously, has an interest in getting it right -- and they do!
My challenge: upgrading the electronics of a PartsCaster. First, I tried CTS pots from a third-party seller. Two of three tested out of spec, and were strangely too noisy (internally) when rotating the wipers. Then I tried a Bourns because some reviewers rated those highly. Again, another disappointment, the Bourns also tested out of spec, and its rotation seemed a bit too loose for my liking. Its build quality also seemed not as stout when compared to the CTS but maybe that has zero impact on usability. Still, I noted it. Then, out of desperation I tried the CTS versions sold directly by Fender. I didn't buy the Fender in the first instance because some reviewers gave those pots a bad rating. But boom - right on spec, all three, perfect measurements from 273k on down to 3k, resistance measured precisely the way audio tapers are supposed to, no jumps or dead spots. These were my results. So, lesson learned. In the future, when I want to tool around with my Strats, I'll stick with what Fender sells. It's a bonus that Fender also includes a capacitor with each pot.

Good kit for upgrading import Strat
Itโs a nice kit if you want to upgrade a Stratocaster type guitar w/ single coils. Love that they include vintage and modern rated capacitors for tonal choice. Had to knock it down to four stars because the tolerance wasnโt what I hoped for but within 10% tolerance.

Worth the upgrade
It works good. I swapped my cheap broken volume pot on my squier stratocaster with this fender pot and it feels much better and I think it has a better warmer tone. This pot is Logarithmic and my other was Linear
