Gold Armour 4 Pack LED Camping Lantern Portable Flashlight with 12 aa Batteries - Survival Kit for Emergency, Hurricane, Power Outage Great

I needed a lightweight bright light to take with me on Africa trip for tented camps. Needed more than ordinary flashlight. These collapse down making light secure for packing. As a test, to determine how many hrs a set of batteries would last, I put the supplied batteries in one & Duracell batteries in a second one. At first both burned equally bright but after 13 hrs the one with supplied batteries was noticeably dimmer. I switched batteries & again the supplied battery lantern was dimmer. I turned on lanterns every morning & shut off 16- 18 hrs later. At a total of 97 hrs both lanterns were still lighting but very dim, one with supplied batteries was almost out. Lanterns appear well made & sturdy although the rigors of packing will be the true test. Also used in a dark yard one night, hung two lanterns fully opened, they supplied an amazing amount of illumination. Living in hurricane zone, these will come in handy but hopefully I won’t need them for few years!

These are bright...for a few hours. That's okay. What's NOT okay is once the batteries burn out, you replace the batteries, and the switch seems to burn out or break or who knows what. So, these lanterns are good for ONE and ONLY one set of batteries. After than, no matter how you put in fresh batteries and experiment with putting in batteries with the lamp open (switch ON), or lamp closed (switch OFF), the lamp never works again.FOLLOW-UP: Just an FYI....I had the same bad experience that I described above...with THREE of the FOUR lanterns. I cannot say whether the fourth lantern was defective, since I just threw the fourth lantern away before bothering with it. In the comments, I see the "manufacturer" offered to replace the lanterns. But, I need lanterns that I can count on, so I I'm not bothering to receive more. Speaking of which, I ordered the "Rayovac SE3DLNOR Sportsman 240 Lumen 3D LED Lantern, Orange", and I am very happy with that product. It more pricey...but it works and works great!

These are great little lanterns, but don't let the size fool you. These little guys are super bright! I bought them in preparation for bad weather such as hurricanes and thunderstorms. I have used them outside to walk the dog at night and have used them during a power outages. You could literally put one lantern in each room and it would light them all up....or if you are like me and don't have a light in your closet it will surely help. You will not be sorry for making this purchase. I bought these to use during hurricane Irma. They worked for hours and run on double AA batteries, which made this light. Most other brands are bulky and use bigger batteries. The batteries on this last over 2 days. You can adjust how much light you want, which helps when you are trying to not blind someone else in the house. They are made very well. Everyone in my neighbor hood also liked the lights and when I told them what I paid they were shocked. So they want to buy them now. Great price for a great product.Without these terrific lights, I am not sure what we would have done. I would recommend them to everyone!!!

We just got through a visit from hurricane Irma which for us caused a five day power outage. It immediately became apparent that flashlights, even led flashlights, weren't sufficient. I went immediately to my go to place Amazon and found these Gold Armour lanterns and ordered them after reading their reviews. They arrived on time and in perfect shape. They are a wonderful small size, great for storing away, but don't let that fool you because they give off amazing light which you can adjust easily so you can use them as a nightlight. Great design!

I bought these lanterns for our frequent power outages and I love the design. You raise the top to turn them on and can adjust the amount of light emitted by how high you raise the top. These are perfect for lighting rooms and are the perfect brightness. I have higher lumen lanterns as well when I need more light. I wanted lower lumen lights to leave on since they are safer than using candles with the risks of grandchildren or dogs knocking over and starting a fire. I bought the multi-colored pack because I thought they were cute. The construction of them is nice as well. I am pleased with my decision and now there is always a lantern in each room for immediate access when the power goes out, no more working your way in a dark house to get to the flashlight!

This was a five star review until the batteries ran down. They will not work on standard AA batteries like Duracell and Energizer. At first I thought I put them in wrong but when I transferred batteries from one lantern to the other and used the batteries that came with the units they would work but not with with Duracell or Energizer. I really liked these lanterns and am very upset that they are useless when the original batteries wear out!

These are awesome! I bought these for hurricane supplies and am extremely happy with them. I just had to use them this past weekend for Hurricane Irma since we lost power and these were a life saver. They are small and lightweight and will be easy to store until the next storm. The lights are also very bright. Having two of them on kept my living room very well lit.The description said batteries were not included but mine came with batteries, which was a nice touch since all of the stores in town sold out of hurricane essentials like batteries.I would highly recommend these. I've been bragging about these to everyone I encounter.
