I got wood!
I've been reading this magazine for a bunch of years, and it gives me all kinds of ideas that I probably will never use because I have a lot of projects already... but it's nice reading if you are into woodworking stuff... it's like YouTube woodworking videos, but it doesn't take electricity or a computer/phone.The title even causes enjoyment for my wife, "You got your Wood, baby" and other fun announcements when she sees the mail. She likes to see me happy and excited, I guess you could say.

Favorite wood mag
I read these every time they send em to my house. I donโt work with wood because of the saw injury but I like to remember all the good times before the incident.

Good for crafts
Our nephew had loved this magazine for several years. He and his Dad use the plans for projects. It gives him a great sense of accomplishment.

Geared towards experienced woodworkers
I agree with the criticisms that say you need to have all sorts of fancy, expensive tools available to complete many of the projects. This seems to be a magazine devoted to hardcore woodworkers. Not those of us still willing to learn with tools that don't cost $1,000+. In a recent edition their feature project, a workbench, costs $1,600 in materials to make. It looks amazing, but I don't have that kind of scratch to spend on one side project. And that doesn't take into account any money spent on the the specialized tools required for the project.I think my subscription was $5. Even at that price I feel like I overpaid and won't be renewing when my time is up.

Great rag!
Full of good tips. In todayโs day, sometimes you just want to sit down with a good magazine and flip thru it the old fashion way.

Ehhh
You pay for ads, and the magazine is really devoted to people who have all kinds of fancy tools at their disposal. I was really hoping it was more geared toward building with basic tools.

Informative
Great magazine. This is one of my default go to magazines. I really enjoy the articles and the ads. Amazon has good deals from time to time as well.
