Moen 100429 Single Handle Faucet Adapter Kit

Fairly easy install. Feels like quality materials in the kit.

My faucet was loose and eventually the bolt holding the single handle broke off, I thought i was about to be out a few hundred bucks and a weekend for repair. Purchased this kit and it came with everything I needed to replace the bolt, took me 30 minutes of work, but it was a perfect fit and came with everything I needed to repair my kitchen faucet handlebar. Excellent quality - holding strong for 6+ months now with no issues.

How to disasseble is not obvious if you did not install the original faucet (for us it was from previous owner). The kit provide schematic on how to do, if you have not figure it out. Kit also provide the right hex wrench (SAE 3/32 if I remember correctly). This fit perfectly and will give an extra 10~15 years of life to this faucet. (For the price, I bought 2 kit. So if it happens again I will be able fix right away) Note: in the meantime, if the plastic connector broke, this can an be temporary fix with a few layers of narrow electrical tape (to recreate the hook the latch onto the metal bar). You will have to disassemble the handle, but was working for me until I receive the replacement kit ...Oh and pay attention on how the cartridge is positioned, you may inadvertently reverse the hot and cold when unscrewing the plastic from the cartridge.

My handle to my faucet just came off.. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I was a bit perplexed as to why I couldn’t get any water from my sink and why a simple valve has been made with this failure point. Anyways, get a pair of needle nose pliers and gently pull the little red/blue dot from the handle, this covers the small Allen head machine screw you have to remove to replace the big metal bit in the kit that fits into the black plastic washer that is attached to the faucet valve that holds the handle on (mine broke) with a Phillips head screw. Make sure the white plastic washer goes on correctly. This determines which way the handle faces, towards you or away. Now I know. 🤷🏻‍♂️😏

I needed replacement parts for the handle "mechanism" on a laundry room faucet. On my faucet, the metal bracket was a mess from hard water and the plastic hinge grip had snapped at the thinnest point. The replacement parts were exactly what I wanted, plus the screws and allen wrench. Replacement took just a couple of minute, and it was as good as new. My only problem is with Moen. Their parts are guaranteed with a free replacement, but the hassle of trying to describe the exact parts you want over the phone (you usually don't know the part number or faucet number) and waiting for delivery while your faucet is dripping, leaking or inoperable, is not worth it. It's easier just to buy new parts on Amazon with same day or next day delivery.

I recently had to replace the cartridge in my shower and, in the process, stripped the hex cap screw that secures the Moen handle to the cartridge. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find the right size screw to replace it with! I had the option of buying a large variety pack in the hopes that one of them would fit (and wouldn't rust), or buy a new handle (at $50 or so). Came across this item and, yes, $5 may be a bit much to pay when you just need that one screw, but ... since it was a Moen replacement part, I took a gamble and .. it fit perfectly. I can once again turn the shower handle without it falling off, and anyone standing down wind from me is appreciate that I can once again use the shower!
