Fit our whirlpool dryer. These seem to last about 2-3 years before the coil breaks.

Ordered this kit in April 2026 to be installed in a 2005 Whirpool Commercial Dryer whose heating element had gone bad. This kit had four thermostats, one thermal fuse and one heating element assembly. Since this kit had more than just the new heating element, I installed 3 of the 4 new thermostats (my dryer only has three thermostats), the thermal fuse in addition to the heating element. I had to adjust the wire connectors on the dryer to be a little tighter on the new thermostat prongs but that was not really an issue at all. All items in the kit fit fine into the different slots/holding locations. The dryer worked great drying several loads of clothes after this. Again, this kit worked on a 21-year-old dryer.

My Maytag electric dryer stopped heating during the drying cycle. The machine powered on, the drum would spin but no heat. After watching all 3 relevant YouTube videos on the subject and receiving $150 quotes from local repairmen, I decided I'd take a shot at it myself. Changing a heating element or thermal fuse or any of the other components in the kit is fairly straightforward, and I would suggest replacing everything that the kit provides. I can't speak to the longevity or quality of the parts just yet, but it's a great start. I would recommend this to anyone who has a dryer that won't get hot.

PROS: Initially worked as expected CONS: Within a month the High Temperature Thermostat Sensor failed. I was about to return the entire package when I found a "hack" to reset the sensor. That worked for about 2 weeks. Now, well out of the warrentee period the purchase is a complete loss. Suggestion: These are Chinese after market items. Buy an OEM part and save your time and effort

Just installed the replacement. It is working but it has only been 2 days. The last one only lasted 6mos. Heating element coil broke and welded itself to the body and grounded the dryer. Hopefully this will last longer, then I will update the rating.

My dryer is over 20 years old! This is the second heating element I've gone through, the last one I bought was about a year ago. So for under $30 i got my dryer back up and running. Takes about 10 minutes to replace if you've done it before. If i can get another year out of this one, I'll be happy.
