Warrior Culture of the U,S. Marines
Marion Sturky is currently the finest transscriber of observedand experienced Marine Combat. You must start with Bonnie Suethen read Warior Cutlure and finally Murphy's Laws of Combat tofully arrpreciate the splended writing and experience of ourCorps. For Marines [Once, Always], Warrior Culture will say finally someone got it. Its so captivating you'll want to givecopies to men who will appreciate it and after reading will think, Why did it take so long to put something so simple so well.Semper Fi, Richard C. 22 years in the Corps
Enjoy dipping into it. Was a SSgt for 5 years & 17 yrs as an officer. It accurately reflects what I experienced from 1946 until 1968.The only, new to me, account was the Air America bit. Had flown Air America in VN, but was not aware of all that it accomplished around the world.Bottom line for me was the emphasis on train, train, & then train some more if you want to keep your troops & yourself alive in combat.DND

Warrior Culture of the U.S. Marines - a very funnyand enlighting book about the Corp.
If your looking for a book on the real USMC this is it. It's well written and researched. Laid out well so you can go back a review or use sections. Its irreverent and ammusing. Would recommend to anyone especially any former Marine. Once a Marine always a Marine. Ny book was used but it was signed by the author Marion F, Sturkey. Highly recommended.

Wannabe Marine Dad
My High School son has his heart set on becoming an Officer of Marines, so I ordered this book to help answer some of our questions. (i.e. Why is there a red stripe on their blue pants?. Where did Jarhead, Leatherneck, etc. come from?)It is an excellent book for that purpose. A real Marine would probably already know most of the information, but it is an good reference, easy to use and has a good deal of humor mixed in with the facts. Combined with Amazons great service, we are very pleased with our purchase.

I learned a lot about Marines and the Marine Corps that I didn't know. Marine Quotations, Battle History, Reflections on Combat, Corps Legacy, Humor and much more. Enjoyed the book very much.

Perfect Gift for a Jarhead
I bought one for my retired Devil Dog-self. Then had to have one for my nephew who's on his way to OCS.
