4 starts only for hassle of exchanging it 3 times. The hutch is nice and desk is wonderful (sold separately).The hutch is wonderful once it comes to you in one piece. We had to exchange 3 hutches. If you have a door step, where UPS can drop the box - just open the box right there. Don't take it inside to inspect. Most likely few hutches will be damaged. Exchanges are super easy (if you don't have to lift the box). UPS comes and attaches the return label. I still can't understand why they don't ship desk and hutch together on the truck if you order them together. Desk was packaged soooo well.Also the only secure was to attach hutch is to the wall. Hardware that is provided to attach hutch to the desk is basically useless. You either have to figure something yourself or rely on wall security (which is very sturdy and their hardware provided).It took us almost 4 months to finally get the whole set together, but it is worth it. It is great size, looks amazing and came put together. No assembly required.Amazon wrote me a letter and said they will review the packaging issue. Sure enough, last hutch came just with some extra tape around that held corners together and it did the trick. Hope your will come undamaged. You will love it!

Love this desk for my daughter. It's big enough that she can use it for years to come, probably take it with her to college. But it's not too big and bulky to take up too much space in her room. It's well built and pretty solid. I loved that we didn't have to assemble anything. We only had to attach the hutch to the desk itself and that was pretty simple. You do have to order the hutch and the desk separately, so keep that in mind. The hutch has a thin cork backing to pin items too. She loves that and has a bunch of stuff pinned to it. The light is nice too for when she is doing homework and it came with a lightbulb. The packaging was amazing. The hutch was shipped via UPS and was packed very well and arrived in great shape even though the box was pretty beat up. The desk was drop shipped and it too was very well packed. And even the drop ship delivery was free with my Prime account, that was pretty amazing! That took a little longer than normal Prime shipping but not that much longer. They called to arrange a delivery date and were here when they said they would be.

Doesn't have a slit(opening) on the bottom of the hutch to pass your electrical cords through, only the cord for the light feature has an opening for the cord, but that is located above the cork board. Fortunately, our alarm clock has a thin electrical cord, so we were able to run it through the gap between the hutch an desk, it doesn't look bad at all, but if we had a regular size cord(s) for a computer or telephone it would have bugged me to see the wider gap, and if you use the earthquake straps, you wouldn't be able to lift the hutch at all to run any wires from the desk counter, so either the desk should have an opening for the wires, or the hutch should have a slit for electrical wires down by the desk counter, bad design flaw, but we made it work for us. The cork board is hard, which others have commented on, so if I want to push in a pin, I have to hold a part of the hutch to keep it from moving back since I didn't use the earthquake straps. All this said, I still like this desk a lot, good size for children, and even all 5'2" of me, lots of leg clearance, so even taller people would be comfortable. I

The Hutch arrived two weeks earlier than the desk, although they were ordered at the same time. Not a problem, but we didn't want to open the box to check for damage knowing that the hutch was going to sit around for 2 weeks until the desk arrived. Well, we should have checked because it was damaged. There was a significant split in the left long board that was visible from the front and side. We destroyed the box getting it out, so there was no way that we were going to be able to send it back. Thankfully, my husband fixed the crack with decorative hooks and screws. The cracks are still there but at least now we know it isn't going to break. My husband is going to follow up with white wood filler in hopes of hiding the cracks better. The hutch is shipped standing on the two thin side boards. One drop of the box, and I could see how this would split easily. Disappointed in the packaging but the hutch is great with all the features. Our six year old loves it despite the damage.

The hutch is beautiful but arrived completely damaged. The right corner was banged up so bad it was unrepairable!! Looks like its just about to lose a whole corner all together. I understand it was probably done in shipping and appreciate it being assembled but i think it wouldn't have been so damaged if it wasn't or at least better protected. Other than that this hutch is very nice looking.

This was clearly sprayed and packed too soon because the paint is rubbed off. All the corners of the hutch are cracked or chipped. Some of the laminate is lifting off the particle board as well. Additionally, there is large scratch down the side of the hutch from the packing material which has staples and nails on it. Now we have to repack it and call UPS to pick it up, or we have to try to touch it up ourselves. Not happy.

Great product. Mu daughter loved it, and it is making a great use f it everyday. Word of advise...the hutch just seats on top of the desk. As it is my 10 years old daughter using it, I made sure I secure the hutch to the desk with a couple of metal connectors on the back (just in case).

It’s a pretty blue color but when mine came in it was already damaged before I could even take the whole thing out of the box. We never assembled it and just returned it.
