Great for custom test leads.
Great for making custom test leads. I use with 14ga silicone wire. Works with multimeters and Power Probe.

Nice but a couple issues that you need to know....
Nice and small. Cons: It takes a lot of heat to solder the wire in, so the plastic tip will most likely melt. You can avoid that by simply plugging it into another receptacle/plug while soldering it. Don't heat it longer than necessary to create a good soldering (See pictures). This plug support 12 AWG copper/stranded if needed, but you'll have to drill out the plastic hole to 4mm for the insulation. There's one other stackable safety banana plug available on Amaz (red/black-gray), but it is big and clunky but barely supports 14 AWG. I purchased both types. Pros: It has a screw terminal to fasten the wire, no soldering and no plastic tip - The metal part fits the plastic housing of theother plug with the plasic tip.

These are Great!
Wish I had found these years ago. Require a little soldering, but make use of test leads much easier and hold up well.

perfect
Perfect for making test leads for my automotive technician work

Drill out the hole!
The pin does not take solder well. If I need to make another test lead I will rough up the inside with a drill, which should help. Otherwise the quality is quite good--the pin and two component parts fitted together with a snap and seem very secure. I hope the solder connection holds up.

Nice terminals
Been wanting to start making my own leads for low voltage and amp projects, not cause I'll make better ones but because cost and learning opportunities. These will be used as my first round POC portable digital voltmeter and ammeter. Pretty excited about these leads. So far, my initial tests show good quality on the banana jack adapters, they fit most of my other multimeter lead sockets. But the best part is the idea of stackable test leads during a test because sometimes.....

Easy to connect, once you get the hang of filling a void with solder
I used AWG 18 stranded on these; the sprung hooks on the other end couldn't handle anything thicker. These plugs, however, would take much thicker wire. AWG 14 might be easier to solder in place than the thinner 18 gauge wire I had to use. After tinning the ends, I inserted them through the interior pins (there's a cavity there). It took a good bit of heating from my venerable Weller soldering station to get the pins hot enough to bond test lead, pin, and solder into a solid connection. After assembling the three pieces (plug, interior pin, upper shroud), the final result was solid. The parts snapped together firmly and the test lead was securely captured. These can be repaired, if necessary, making them a decent investment.
