Love this water bottle
This is a great quality, water bottle and easy to clean. This is actually my second purchase because I love it so much.

Water with style
These bottles have been my “go to’s” at the gym. I can’t drink very cold water and these keep the water temp just right. Very durable and lightweight. I’ve used these for years and wouldn’t change a thing.

Convenient water bottle
I've been using the Contigo Ashland 2.0 for a few weeks now, and it's quickly become my go-to water bottle for daily use. Here’s a breakdown of my experience: Pros: Leak-Proof Design: The Autosput technology really works. I toss this bottle into my bag without worrying about spills. Secure Lid Lock: The button lock adds an extra layer of security, especially when traveling. Angled Straw: It’s surprisingly effective at helping you sip every last drop without tilting the bottle awkwardly. Spout Cover: Great for keeping the drinking area clean, especially when outdoors. Comfortable Handle: The integrated handle is sturdy and makes it easy to carry around. Dishwasher Safe: Cleaning is a breeze—just toss it on the top rack. Fits Car Cup Holders: A small but appreciated detail for commuters. Cons: Straw Cleaning: While the bottle is dishwasher safe, the straw can be a bit tricky to clean thoroughly without a brush. Plastic Feel: The Tritan plastic is durable, but some users might prefer a more premium material like stainless steel. Overall Impression: This bottle strikes a great balance between functionality and convenience. Whether you're using it at the gym, in the car, or at your desk, it performs reliably. The Juniper color is also a nice touch—subtle yet stylish.

Can leak when open if it tips, but completely leakproof when closed.
This is, generally, a very nice water bottle. It will leak if the straw is open and it tips over - any water in the straw, plus any that is above the point where water would enter the straw at the angle it falls to when tipped. But it seals well, and if it does tip when open, it's still less mess than an open glass. Best bet is to make a habit of closing the straw between sips when drinking, especially if you are around electronics or anything else that could be damaged if wet. Don't use with carbonated beverages, the gas has nowhere to go when it is closed, and the release of pressure when it opens can cause a bit of a "volcano" of escaping liquid pushed out by the gas pressure in the bottle.

Replaced, much better
Much better. They sent me a used or broken one before. It did not have any packaging on it and the mouth piece was not popping up properly. Then I sucked ALL air. I requested a replacement, and it was prompt. And it had packaging on it. This one is not used or broken. Thank you, I love these bottles very much.

Downgrade from 1.0: loses suction, awkward handle, no carabiner clip :(
Serviceable, but definitely a downgrade from the Ashland 1.0, for a few reasons: - No more carabiner clip 😔 – It was so handy for clipping to a backpack strap while on the move! - New handle swings too far – The range of movement for the hinged handle is a bizarre choice; it can very easily be moved to block the drinking spot, which is... not ideal. - Straw loses suction when drinking at an angle – Drinking at a ~30° was easy with the old design, but with this one, the straw seems to lose suction when drinking at anything other than perfectly upright. This is probably due to the fact that the straw is now TWO pieces of flexible plastic (that are only connected by fit!), rather than the old single-piece, solid plastic straw. Another odd design choice... Are there improvements? yes: - better open button - better lock button But that's it. Overall, I'm bummed sad that Contigo discontinued the 1.0, whose only real drawback was a fragile handle.

DRIPS and TERRIBLE DESIGN
These are TERRIBLE. We loved our previous Contigo water bottles which finally wore out - we thought these were the replacement. But UGH. We will never buy water bottles online again - always in the store so we can see them from all directions. Of course we still wouldn't catch the fact that THEY ALL DRIP! 1. THEY ALL DRIP! We have had these for months. 2 people, 4 water bottles, and it is rare that they don't drip when on their side - and possibly it just depends which side it is lying on? One bottle faulty, I could understand (manufacturing fault) - but FOUR?! In four different colors?! 2. The "handles" don't clip. So what is the point? These bottles will hang on a hook, but how many people have hooks to hang their water bottles on? How many people want to carry their bottles by a handle all the time? Maybe once in a while, but, honestly I don't see the point. The last model we had, had a clip on the handle so we could clip them onto things like belt loops and backpack straps for easy access when out and about. These have to go _in_ a bag, where they have to be dug out and therefore we don't access them as often as we should and therefore dehydrate. 3. (Following from 2) It is difficult to attach a clip. A carabiner can slide off the "handle" when unclipping it from the bag strap. Plus, a carabiner won't allow the handle to go flat, which makes it difficult to drink from without taking the catabiner off. 4. The straw design. You'd think it's just a straw. The photo shows it going down the middle of the bottle. Nope. The straw angles *away* from the "sippy" part. The result? When you take a drink with the bottle at an angle (don't most people do this?), you get zero water even though there is plenty in it. You literally have to hold the bottle straight up - or angle it towards you, or drink with the "sippy" on the side opposite your body which is just awkward - just to get the last few ounces out of it! 5. (Following from 4). Even when you try to angle the straw so it will point towards you when you're drinking "normally", as you twist the top back on, the straw (usually) "drags" along the bottom of the water bottle so once the top is screwed on fully, the straw is again pointing away from you.

At first glance, it seems like a quality product, but Contigo has some serious quality control issues. Out of 3 contigo bottles I have owned in the past 3 years, this is the 2nd that developed issues with seal/watertightness within 90 days of purchase. The other bottle has lasted through over 3 years of abuse (including many drops). This bottle has been lightly used, almost exclusively at home and the leak first became noticeable as air bubbling in with water when sucking water up the straw.

The water in this bottle is very easy to draw up and drink and easy to clean. The way the spout retracts and locks in means no accidental leaks. I really like the Contigo water bottle.

I have been purchasing Contigo water bottles for more than 10 years now and love them. I purchased this one with the spout & straw for the car. This enables me to use it without tilting my head enabling no loss of vision on the road when driving.
