WD-40 Specialist Bike Degreaser , 10 OZ

An inexpensive solution from a brand we all know. The foaming spray clings to the chain and cassette but still requires a little brushing to get it clean.

Good degreaser, easy to use, and rinses off easily. It foams well at first, but seems to dissipate quickly. But it didn't fully get rid of some caked on chain grease even after a second application. So, for light chain grease this seems to work really well and seems to be more environmentally friendly than other strong and smelly chemical degreasers. But, if you have years of thick grease on your chain you may need to stronger degreaser.

Gets the grease off your drivetrain wonderfully. I have an older bike that I bought used, and when I got it, it was filthy. Even with just a casual spray of this stuff, not even a formal cleaning which I plan to do outside with a hose/sprayer, this helped make my chain gain back its shine :) You’re not supposed to inhale it (as the package warns, and you might want to wear a mask and goggles or glasses when you use this for your own safety, as it is an areosol) but the scent of it is pleasant. Though you can tell it’s a chemical, it smells more akin to sharpies than to bleach or harsh chemicals. I actually sprayed this in a (well-ventilated, windows open) hallway indoors and this didn’t cause weird fumes or smells or anything. Plus, it’s fun to see foam up and then water down when you spray it (like shaving cream?) It’s part of the little joys of life. This is also a great value for the price, as you get a a whole can (hairspray-sized) for under $10.

Good degreaser for your bike drive train! I purchased this multiple times, only con is costly product. We need to spend on degreaser or on chain replacement so I selected the first one!

Comprei o produto por estar na promoção, ele é prático e eficiente! A espuma limpa bem, mas ainda é necessário esfregar, no meu caso a corrente estava bem impregnada de sujeira e graxa precisei aplicar 3 vezes. Há mais baratos, mas aparentemente esse tem a aplicação mais simples e com uma marca de renome e acaba cobrando por isso.
