Lensbaby Creative Aperture Kit

I purchased my first Lensbaby around Christmas time after wanting one for about a year. I got the "Control Freak" & it fits my personality! :) After learning to use it, I got out the creative apertures to see how they worked. I've had some fun playing with the "Star" at night against a street light! I expect to get some very cool & interesting photos with these. I have some craft scissors, too, & plan to make more of my own creative apertures with the blanks.

I have not made my own lens yet, but the star shaped one is incredible! It's hard to believe something so simple reaps such splendid results. I took pictures of everything lit or sparkly, from my wedding tiara, to my glittery fake fall leaves, to raindrops, and even the moon...all star shaped. There are so many possibilities with this kit, definitely buy it for your lensbaby!

wasted all but one trying to punch through with a paper punch like the instructions said. The 2 that came already punched out work great but I ended up using black card stock and the aperature rings that came with the lensbaby to hold in my punch outs instaed of this kit. Do not buy unless you just want the heart and star.

Not only was the price of the apertures low, but the company offered FREE shipping, which is awesome!!! They were delivered super fast in perfect condition. I would certainly buy from them again. I love my lensbaby composer and this Creative Aperture Kit just keeps adding to the fun. Some days I just pop in the star aperture and see what happens. You never know if or where that little glitter of a star will appear - maybe on a stirrup of a horse where a glisten of light appears or all over a metal object being struck by sunshine. I took a photo of a sunset behind trees and wherever the sun came through the leaves, a star appeared. It was beautiful. You have to have it with your lenses and you can't beat the price.

When I discovered the Lensbaby 3G and saw some images created with the Creative Aperture kit, I had to have it all. This is tons of fun for very little money. I am a graphic artist and pay for art to use for backgrounds. With the Lensbaby 3G and the Creative Aperture Kit, this Christmas my newspaper special section covers will feature Lensbaby images.

My recommendation is to make figures in different sizes so you get different apertures. A friend had a laser cutter so i could do some precise figures. It's a good to experiment.

Great product. Easy to use. Adds a fun element to your lensbaby. Takes some experimenting to get use to. Be sure to use sharp accurate instruments to cut the blank discs.

I too would have liked one or two pre-cut designs included. The blanks are easy to cut with a sharp knife but because of the small size they are quite hard to hold and cut at the same time. The ones I have created have not ended up quite as I had thought they would but the effets they produce are good.Worth a try if you have a lensbaby.

I purchased this item in June, looking forward to getting my hands on the blank discs. What arrived however, was not what is in the picture. You get the heart and star shaped aperture, and then a selection of other precut discs, no blank discs are included.Looking on the lensbaby website, they now seem to do one pack of precut, and one of blank discs, and amazon do not seem to have caught up.It gets 4 stars as the product is great, just be aware of what you are purchasing

These are definitely must-have accessories for the Lensbaby, as they give you a much wider range of options for shaping your bokeh, thus enhancing surrealism in your photos. The pre-shaped ones are great but the fact that you get a bunch of blanks for cutting your own shapes into is even better.

Fun kit. I'd have liked maybe one other ready-made shape but I've cut a new one myself and am enjoying them. Simple & effective effect for image highlights.

It is an inexpensive tool that i am using along with my lensbaby lens all the time. It makes a great purchase.
