So far so good. Good basic laptop. Seems to work ok. Froze once during initialization, but seemed fine after that. The battery kind of sticks out in the back, making the laptop chunky and a little awkward in the hands. Its also pretty heavy. However I get the feeling it can crunch data pretty quick, and loads fast enough. Im not going to be cycling with it or carrying it around alot, so it's fine for me, but if you are looking for something like that, this may not be your laptop. Anyways I'm happy with my purchase. Very utilitarian, almost industrial feel to this item. Update: A few months after purchase, the charger stopped functioning. I contacted the seller, and they QUICKLY responded by sending me a new charger without any further cost to me. I will DEFINITELY be using this company again. They have made a great impression on me. They are professional, polite, and value their customer base.

When I got it, I added more memory, a new drive and converted it to a Linux Mint laptop. I created, edited, and published a weekly Pod-Cast with this laptop. I did not use the built-in audio for this purpose. I used a Sennheiser microphone and a small mixing board which were all purchased here on Amazon. The laptop got about 12 hours of constant use per day! When recording, I used it on battery and got about 9 hours of use before it needed a charge. For some reason battery life is shorter in Microsoft Windows any version, which it originally came with. While I hated to see it go, this computer is retired now because the keyboard failed and no good quality keyboard replacement was available at the time I needed it to work. So I had to work fast to keep my Pod-Cast episodes on time. I bought another laptop, here on Amazon, and I am very happy with that one too even though it is a different brand. Low price was a factor in that decision.

I took a chance that didn't pay off. I'm so glad I'm able to return it. It did power on, it appeared to be in fair condition and the mouse worked pretty well, but that's where the good stuff ends. Many of the keys used with the left hand entered the same letter two or three times for each keystroke. Numbers did not work at all. Backspace did not work either. Because I had no use of the keyboard, I couldn't activate windows to see if that worked. It arrived with sticky residue on the border around the keyboard. It was missing the EC flap on the side, so there was an opening to collect dirt and dust. The VGA connector had a pin stuck in it so it couldn't be used. Then, when I opened the disk drive, there was peanut butter smeared on the tray! Come on! Don't they look at or test the items before they send them out??? I'll be returning the item and will not exchange it. I will look elsewhere.

This laptop looks brand new. It came well packaged and with the charging brick wrapped in bubble wrap but with nothing else like instructions etc. I plugged it in to fully charge and then started it up. It immediately booted and I turned on the wifi. Immediately connected and I was in business. No problems surfing the web, playing youtube's, online forums etc. I do not game. I did try Internet Archive and an old movie and it played without any problems. All works as it should. I connected an external 21in monitor and keyboard via the ports and it instantly turned them on allowing it to be used for a home system if I desired. Crisp color, ease of use and no glitches. The loaded Windows10 instantly asked for an update so I did that. Went fine. I did not try the webcam as I do not use one so don't know about that but considering everything else works fine I have no doubt it would too. Very pleased with this unit and can recommend it as a great value..

Pros: Advertised as 2.5 GHz processor - the one I received was 2.7 and benchmarked at 3.1. Advertised as 4GB ram - came with 8GB. Came with Win 10 pro - if it says you can't activate it use the activation code on the bottom of the computer - it works I switched out the hard drive for an SSD and this thing is screaming fast - Win 10 fully boots in 6 seconds. Cons: They didn't package it right so the box was just hanging open when it arrived. The screen and keyboard were FILTHY. Just took a minute to clean it but this and the sloppy packaging shows they do not care about quality. The screen is in very bad condition. Useable but stained and scratched badly. The webcam is so blurry its unusable. I don't plan to carry this around as a laptop. I just plugged in an external monitor, keyboard and webcam so I don't care about the screen and webcam problems. For my purposes this is great. If you plan to actually use it as a laptop stay away. The condition of the elements important for that was terrible.

We received this laptop a few weeks ago for the purpose of simple CAD operations and while we did install some CAD software we are not going to use it for that other than for kids use with a Davinci JR. We were originally going to use it for an older version of Jewelry CAD for a store. In the end, we did not continue that process - BUT We have now reassigned the laptop to our High School Students School and it works perfectly! We are also Chromebook users for school and almost went the Windows Netbook approach but decided we wanted a CD ROM and a lot more space that we could backup on our own. Even though this laptop if more than several years old - it still is PEPPY and can handle everything we have thrown at it. I'm not sure how good it would be for gaming - but again simple CAD renderings worked just fine. Other than some normal wear and tear the screen is a little loose at the hinge - but I think that could be expected with the age. - As a side note - We processed an earlier order for this laptop - same vendor - which accepted a return without problems - this is the second order and we are very pleased.
