The Book of Human Emotions: From Ambiguphobia to Umpty -- 154 Words from Around the World for How We Feel

A very interesting book about words, their meaning, roots of origin and emotional value. I especially enjoyed the words in several different languages that have no one English word equivelent. I just wish there was a dictionary that was more comprehensive and organized like a traditional dictionary.

I bought this after hearing the author’s TED Talk - fascinating perspective on how different cultures define (and perhaps experience) emotions.

Poorly written. Like someone started this book and realized you can't fill a whole book with it.

I did not find this very interesting and stopped reading it about 1/3rd of the way through.

I'm not sure what happened here but suffice it to say there is many a slip twixt cup and lip. Great idea, but inconsistent, incomplete execution. I'm sorry as I was really excited to explore this topic. Someone should pick it up and do it right.
