This is a really handy food thermometer. The magnet is great so you can store it on the fridge or cooker. The auto on when you unfold the probe is useful. As is the auto off which is by time or when you fold the probe back in. Temps seem accurate. Digital display is really clear and easy to read. Also has a handy meat temperature scale on it. Overall a well thought out product. Highly recommend.

This thermometer is great! It has an accurate reading and it’s nice and compact for storage. I like that it comes on when you unfold it and it turns off when you fold it up. It helps save the battery, because I would forget to turn others off.

I love this thermometer! This is my first digital kitchen thermometer and it's great! So much quicker and more accurate than the old-school dial thermometers. This digital thermometer is so easy to use too, just unfolding the probe turns it on and it's ready to go. It calculates temperature so fast and has an amazing temperature range (-58°F to 572°F)!It has an attractive appearance with a large and easy to read display. I like the hand-hold ergonomics of the design, making it easy to hold securely with less chance for slipping and dropping. I've also found the built-in magnet to be a real plus, I just stick the thermometer on the side of my fridge making it always within reach. It works for so many things too, from meat to liquids, to practically anything!It has a solid durable feel to it and at the price is a great value for the money. I'm really pleased with this purchase and highly recommend.

I had to replace my first one after five years of use. Thats a pretty good run for such a inexpensive thermometer. We used it A LOT. I have a laser temperature gun, and this matched up within 2-3 degrees every time, so I feel its pretty accurate. It just comes on when you open it up and auto-offs on its own. I don't remember ever changing the battery on the first one. Eventually the plastic broke and the temp wand was just hanging loose. We still used it while waiting for the new one to come. The temperature part still worked, we just had to use it very carefully as the probe was just hanging on by a couple wires.These are well worth the money and connivence of use. If this one dies, I will buy another one off Amazon that same day.

I should probably give this a 5 star review but I don't like the need to unfold and refold to store. The readout is easy to see and the temperature is almost immediately ready. It is sturdy and still works even after I dropped it a couple times.

This is absolutely the best meat thermometer that I've ever owned. When you unpack it you'll find clear instructions, a comprehensive guide for different types of meat and even an extra button battery. Using it couldn't be easier; just fold the probe from the base and begin use. Response time is super quick and the display is large and easy to read. I especially like the display when you tap the back light on. Once you have the temp you can tap the hold button to keep the display locked at that temp until you power down. You have the ability to calibrate the temp for maximum accuracy, a feature not available on cheap models. The unit is easy to clean and fold up for the next use. Velcro type tabs are included if you want to stick this to the fridge. I would have preferred a magnet, but oh well. I'm still about 95% happy with this and would definitely recommend it. I'm glad I spent a small about more to get this much better unit. The unit I replaced looked like all the other cheap units online and didn't hold up well. I anticipate using this for a very long time.

I do a lot of grilling and smoking of meat and this thermometer is easy to use and read. Though grilling and smoking was impetus for purchasing the ease of use has led it to be used for types of cooking. I used to monitor temputure of cooking oil for frying, roasting etc. It is simple, pull the probe out and it is on, fold it in and it turns off. The digital readout is easy to read and a push of a button will give temp in Celsius or Fahrenheit. I have yet to need to change batteries after use for over two years. It has even been accidentally dropped in to sink full of diswater and completely submerged and worked as normally after drying out. This thermometer is a good value and if the one I have ever wears out I will get another one just like it.

The oerfect meat thermoneter at a cheap price. Sturdy, easy to operate and with a large, clear display. Does exactly what it is supposed to do, with all the same options as a thermometer worth 5x the price of this one. I particularly like the fact that the spike sensor folds away safely, protecting prying hands delving around in kitchen drawers looking for something. The bright colour also makes it easier to fibd amongst other kitchen utensils. Highly recommended.
